Ayushman Bharat turns lifesaver, Uttarakhand woman shares her story of treatment
Ayushman Bharat Yojana is proving to be a lifesaver for many, particularly those belonging to poor families. While lakhs of people from across the country benefit from the scheme, an elderly woman named Rasila from Mehuwala Mafi in Dehradun shared her story of recuperation, with help from government assistance. She is a heart patient and had her heart operated some time back. Beneficiary Rasila's daughter-in-law informed that she also got her son treated using the Ayushman card. The beneficiary's daughter-in-law, Sajida, said, 'My mother-in-law was very ill. She did not know that she had a heart problem. She has taken advantage of the Ayushman Card scheme. After reaching the hospital, it was found that she had a heart problem. Initially, two to three lakh rupees were needed.' She further said that they came to know that patients get benefits using the Ayushman card. 'After getting the Ayushman card made, we contacted the hospital and after this treatment of the mother-in-law became possible. Through this card, we have got free treatment up to Rs. 1.5 lakh,' she said. She further stated that poor people do not have enough money to get treatment for serious diseases. Every poor person should take advantage of this; with this card, one can get treatment up to Rs. 5 lakhs. Sajida also said that if they didn't get the benefit of this scheme, they wouldn't have been able to get treatment. 'We have benefited a lot from the Ayushman card. I thank Modi ji for making this scheme for the poor of the country,' she said. 'My mother-in-law's life was saved only because of this card,' she said. She also said that her son had kidney stones and was treated only because of this card. The beneficiary Rasila said that her heart treatment was made possible only due to the Ayushman card.

Six booked for killing youth over rivalry
DIJKOT: Nishatabad police have registered a case against six suspects for killing a youth over a rivalry. The body was handed over to the family of the deceased after a post-mortem examination. The victim's father Muhammad Ishaq, a resident of Chak 7GB, filed a complaint stating that he had a legal dispute with the suspects, including Atif. Due to this enmity, Atif, Ali and Iftikhar, along with two accomplices, conspired with Sajida to murder 27-year-old Mubashir. As Mubashir was riding his motorcycle near Seme Nullah, the suspects opened fire on him, killing him on the spot. During the shooting, a bullet also hit the suspect Sajida in the shoulder, the complainant claimed. He alleged that the woman had collaborated with the family's rivals to have his son murdered. The police registered a case against the suspects nominated by the complainant under sections 302, 324, 148 and 149 and launched a search to nab them. Meanwhile, a case was filed against two men who had demanded Rs3.6 million in interest on loan of Rs1.1 million. Sarfaraz, a resident of 555GB, informed the Mamunkanjan police that he was a landowner and his son Owais, who is a drug addict, had borrowed Rs1.1 million from Shabraat Khan and Sher Khan, residents of 498GB, Tandlianwala. The suspects had taken seven cheques from the borrower and also acquired his thumbprints. When the matter came to his knowledge, the complainant went to the accused along with Allah Bakhsh and Muhammad Nawaz but they tried to blackmail him. They said his son had taken a loan of Rs1.1 million and he should return the money. When he took the money to them, the suspects said this was then principal amount and asked him to pay an additional Rs3.6 million in interest. The suspects threatened to lodge cases against his son and humiliate his family in case of failure to make the payment. The police registered a case against the accused under Section 5/3D of the Punjab Prohibition of Interest on Private Loans Act 2022 and started searching for the accused.
