Communications Ministry Committed To Strengthening Digital Media Literacy Among Polytechnic Students Through HAWANA Roadshow 2025
SHAH ALAM, Aug 14 -- The Ministry of Communications is committed to strengthening media understanding and digital literacy among students of public institutions of higher learning through the National Journalist Day (HAWANA) 2025 Roadshow with Polytechnic Students.
Organised by the HAWANA Secretariat, which is led by the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama), with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) as a strategic partner, the programme kicked off its inaugural edition today at Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Polytechnic (PSA).
The event featured three knowledge-sharing sessions, beginning with a talk on Mobile Journalism (MoJo) by Bernama News Officer Syed Iylia Hariz Al-Qadri Syed Izman, followed by an explanation on fact-checking by the editor of MyCheck Malaysia and Data Journalism Unit Sakina Mohamed.
