SALALAH, AUG 10 Salalah Port Services Company signed a memorandum of cooperation (MoC) with the Directorate General of Labour in Dhofar Governorate to help advance cooperation between the public and private sectors. The MoC was inked during the opening of the Government Transformation and Sustainable Leadership Conference, which commenced in Salalah yesterday under the auspices of Shaikh Salim Mustahail Al-Mashani, Advisor at the Royal Court Affairs. The MoC also affirms the strategic role played by the Ministry of Labour in developing the human resources sector in the State's administrative apparatus and supporting employment in the private sector. It also reinforces the active role of Salalah Port Services Company in employing job seekers in the private sector and developing human resources, thereby achieving the principle of partnership in a manner that serves the public interest. Speaking to the Observer, Mohammed Aufait Al Maashani, Director of Corporate Affairs at Salalah Port, said the company's partnership with the Ministry of Labour will open new avenues for training and qualifying national talent, enhancing the port's role in supporting the local economy and improving the labour market in Dhofar Governorate. He affirmed the port's continuous commitment to social responsibility by investing in people and developing their skills, enabling them to become active partners in Oman's sustainable development journey.
