Three-time U.S. Grade 1 winner Carl Spackler has been moved to the barn of John and Thady Gosden by owner Yulong Investments, reports Racing Australian-based owner had previously stated that Carl Spackler would be campaigned in Europe before shipping down under for the Cox Plate in October; those plans have now been scrapped.
'I think at this stage we'll probably leave him in Europe,' Yulong Investment's chief operating officer Sam Fairgray told the Australian radio network RSN927. 'There were plans for him to come down for the Cox Plate, but I think we'll leave him there and let him acclimatize a bit and see if we can just get him back on track."
