Sam and Snezana Wood sell their stunning home for $6.6 million as they plan to join Melbourne's elite in Brighton and eye up $14 million mansion
Sam and Snezana Wood have finally sold their stunning Melbourne home for a reported $6.6 million. Located in the sought-after Bayside suburb of Elsternwick, the lavish pad boasts five bedrooms and three bathrooms. Built in 1900, the property has been renovated into an ultra-modern palatial two-level spread with its own home gym and sauna. No details of the sale have been released, but the Herald Sun reports the property was sold 'close to' its listed asking price of $6.6 million. The high-profile couple bought the property in 2018 for $3.31 million. The successful sale comes after it was re-listed in June, following an earlier attempt to offload the house failed to find a buyer. Situated a mere 11 km from the CBD, the stylish home is a mix of classic Victorian-era architecture and chic updates. The original façade has been beautifully maintained, including decorative touches such as iron-lace finishings and arched windows. Highlights include an open-plan layout and a 15-metre heated pool with adjoining entertainment deck and al fresco dining space. There's also a child's wing and a large gourmet kitchen with marble fittings, a butler's pantry, and a breakfast bar. Other features include a gas fireplace, timber flooring, home office and a guest room with en suite. Sam and Snezana, who are still going strong nine years after meeting and falling in love on The Bachelor, were reportedly eyeing off a glorious mansion in one of Melbourne's most sought-after postcodes - Brighton. Real estate insiders say the hunky reality star and his wife have already laid out an eye-watering $14 million for the sprawling pad. The beautiful vintage multi-level estate boasts six bedrooms, a pool and expansive gardens. However, the Herald Sun reported that the genetically-blessed pair have yet to seal the deal on the trophy home. Sam shares Willow, seven, Charlie, five, and Harper, two, with Snezana, 44, whom he met on The Bachelor in 2015. They are also parents to Snez's daughter, Eve, 19, from a previous relationship. In 2022, Sam sold his fitness program - 28 by Sam Wood - to genetics group myDNA for $71 million. The entrepreneur continues to invest in the company and holds a five per cent stake. He has also amassed a $10 million real estate portfolio. Sam made his entry into the property market back in 2014, when he purchased a two-bedroom, 1728-square-metre unit in Carnegie's Koornang Road for $477,500. In 2017, he snapped up a three-bedroom investment property in Broadford for $295,000 and, since then, has watched it jump in value to nearly $500,000. In 2018, around the same time he acquired the Elsternwick property, he also sunk $531,000 into another investment property in Upwey.

Bachelor stars Sam and Snezana Wood sell luxe Elsternwick home
Former Bachelor Sam Wood and his wife Snezana have sold their Elsternwick love nest, with a major renovation by the pair likely to have helped secure them a big price. The pair met in season three of the reality show's Australian franchise in 2015, with the fitness-industry heavy hitter marrying the then single-mum Snezana in 2018. They now have three children together, as well as Ms Wood's first daughter, Eve, who appeared in the show. Mr Wood's fitness empire 28 by Sam Wood was sold for $71m in 2022, and he remains a popular fitness trainer with 263,000 followers on Instagram. The former Bachelor has recently proven he's just as fit as ever, completing his first marathon in Africa earlier this year as part of Carrie Bickmore's Carrie's Beanies 4 Brain Cancer charity event that raised more than $1.1m for research into the disease. Ms Wood has also been busy since the show wrapped, writing her memoir, launching sleepwear and jewellery collections with Homebodii and Shannakian Fine Jewellery, as well as carving out a niche as a lifestyle influencer with a whopping 331,000 followers on Instagram. Their five-bedroom house, complete with an impressive home gym that even showcases its own sauna, is understood to have sold for close to its $6.6m asking price. The home's period facade looks much as it always has and there are still an array of character details including decorative ceilings, stained-glass windows and hallway arches. But an exhaustive renovation means the next owners will enjoy impressive styling in key living areas including designer lighting fixtures, chevron-style engineered floors, warehouse conversion-style metal-framed windows. A black and white kitchen aesthetic forms the backdrop to daily life, with a butler's pantry concealed behind it, while bathrooms include features ranging from bevell-edged marble surfaces to marble-look tiles and freestanding tubs. Bedrooms are spread across the ground and first floors, with balconies for some of the upper level spaces. Outside a gas and solar-heated pool with a deck for sun lounges is surrounded by manicured gardens, while a paved area provides space for outdoor entertainment. Brighton-based Dow Real Estate managing director Taylor Dow handled the sale, but could not discuss the result. However, Mr Dow said there were good indications for the market in the area — particularly for homes renovated to a high standard at present. 'And for spring, I'm getting optimistic,' he said. 'The positivity in the headlines, the possibility of a rate cut and an increasing clearance rate are leading to more people being happy to transition to another property.' The sale follows rumours last year that the pair had been eyeing homes in Brighton.

Sam and Snezana also recently relisted their lavish Elsternwick home with a massive $6.6 million price guide. The reality star couple, who met on season three of The Bachelor in 2015, initially put the home on the market in November last year but later withdrew it. The five-bedroom, five-bathroom mansion boasts an array of luxury amenities, including a 15-metre pool framed by Ironbark timber decking and a sun-drenched gym and sauna that overlooks the home's stunning green surroundings. Sam and Snezana initially bought the Victorian property in 2018 for $3.31m, renovating it into a modern oasis that reflects their passion for wellness. The home, built in 1900, was beautifully restored by the reality TV couple, and wows guests from the get-go with a dramatic arched hallway, 3.7 metre high ceilings and interiors straight out of an art magazine.

Whether that consists of prioritising gains, jettisoning some extra kilos, or revisiting some long-neglected fitness goals, there's no time like the present to adopt changes—even small ones—that can make a long-term difference. No matter where you're at in your fitness journey, Men's Health Month is the perfect excuse to cement some foundational habits or easy-to-overlook hacks that will keep you on track throughout June and beyond. With half of any wellness program consisting of how you fuel all of those gym sessions, early morning runs, late-night swims, and ice-bath recovery sessions, there's one particular hack we're currently obsessed with that consists of a supreme source of nutrition in a wonderfully convenient form. Perhaps the most perfect of nature's wellness aids, we are, of course, speaking about the humble egg. To get a sense of the power of these superfood gems and the best ways to integrate them into a daily routine, we sat down with Sam Wood, who you probably know as the founder of the hugely popular nutrition and fitness program, 28. Sam swears by the convenience and extraordinary nutrition eggs have to offer—so much so that last year he became the Australian Eggs ambassador—and whether he's recommending them to clients or preparing a batch for his own family, harnessing the goodness inside each of these oval marvels is a cornerstone of Sam's expert approach to wellness. Sam Wood | Image: Australian Eggs A Sam Wood Staple 'I've been eating eggs every day for as long as I can remember,' Sam starts. 'They're a staple in my own diet, in my family's meals, and in nearly every plan we create at 28. Plus, supporting Aussie farmers? That's something I'm proud to get behind.' While everyone has a vague sense that eggs can be part of a healthy diet, when we ask Sam, we're floored by what he reveals. Just two eggs provide 13 essential vitamins and nutrients, including a whopping 12.7 grams of protein, 14 per cent of your daily iron requirements, and 82 and 15 per cent respectively of your recommended daily intake of vitamin D and B12. In simple terms, this means the nutrients in eggs assist with weight management, oxygen's movement through the body, and the maintenance of healthy bones and teeth. They also aid healthy muscle function, immune system support, the formation of red blood cells and DNA, repairing body tissue, as well as supporting healthy functioning of the nervous system. As Sam points out, eggs certainly have an astounding work ethic: 'They're high in protein, packed with essential vitamins and minerals, and they keep you fuller for longer. That's a superfood in my books, and the best part is, they're easy to whip up.' Boiled Eggs | Image: Australian Eggs Egg-Based Essentials This ease of preparation means eggs are always a smart option, because when the days feel too short to squeeze everything in—particularly during these winter months—any shortcut can be a lifesaver. After all, once you've made time for work, working out, caring for kids, partners, and pets, not to mention all that time commuting every morning and evening, it can be all too easy to slip into bad habits. With this in mind, we'd recommend checking out some of Australian Eggs' fantastic egg-based recipes here. They're as delicious as they are nutritious, and they also challenge the notion that eggs are primarily a breakfast food. Picking up on this, Sam is quick to champion eggs no matter the time of day: 'I'm all about eggs for dinner. Frittatas are a go-to in our house, especially when we're low on groceries. Chuck in whatever's left in the fridge, a bit of spinach, tomato, sweet potato, some cheese, and you've got a quick, healthy dinner. Egg fried rice is another favourite.' No matter the time of day, eggs are also a fast and easy option for keeping the little ones happy while boosting nutrition. Plus, they're the kind of thing even fussy eaters can get on board with. 'My kids actually love them,' Sam reveals. 'Willow and Charlie are big fans of dippy eggs with toast soldiers. But like any parent, I've had to get creative now and then. Omelettes loaded with cheese and veg, or mini egg muffins they can help make, that always does the trick.' Scrambled Eggs | Image: Australian Eggs Only the Facts Despite all of this goodness, Sam explains there's still a surprising level of misinformation around eggs and how to get the most out of them. In fact, he's quite eager to discourage the splitting of the yolk and white when we ask what people might be surprised to learn. 'Many people don't realise that a lot of the nutrients are in the yolk,' he reveals. 'That's where many of the vitamins and good fats live, along with a third of the protein. I should also say that eating eggs regularly doesn't raise bad cholesterol for most people, which is a big myth I still hear.' As Sam goes on to point out, what eggs can actually raise is your sense of mental well-being. Thanks to their 13 essential vitamins and nutrients, including vitamin B2, B12, choline, iron, and tryptophan—all associated with helping reduce the risk of anxiety, symptoms of depression, and naturally aiding sleep—eggs are your mental health buddy. As we part ways, we ask Sam if he has a favourite egg recipe and if there are any top-secret preparation methods he'd be willing to share. 'Tough one!' he laughs.'I reckon my go-to would have to be scrambled eggs with avo on sourdough. The secret? Low and slow on the heat, stir constantly, and add a dash of milk or cream for extra creaminess.' That sounds like a Men's Health Month must-try.
