New Disney+ Dive-In Theater experiences give fans immersive movie experiences in pools
Disney+ and Swimply are teaming up to give fans a way to cool down and dive into an immersive movie experience unlike any other. The streaming service and the pioneering pool-sharing platform announced Monday that they are combining forces to create the first-ever Disney+ Dive-In Theater experiences. The experiences will transform three private swimming pools in Los Angeles into recreations of three classic films available to view on Disney+ and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers: "Honey I Shrunk the Kids," "Camp Rock" and "Alien." Guests will not only be able to watch a movie while they swim, but also take part in themed photo ops and interactive experiences, according to Disney+ and Swimply. At the "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" experience, for example, guests will enter through a "shrink ray" laser tunnel and emerge to giant-sized features, like a huge popcorn box and a cereal bowl swimming pool. "The Disney+ Dive-In Theater allows fans to connect with their favorite films in a way they've never been able to before," Samantha Rosenberg, executive vice president of marketing for Disney+, said in a statement Monday. "Following the success of our Disney+ Throwback Experience earlier this summer, we're seeing audiences crave real-world experiences that let them step into the stories they love." The limited-time Disney+ Dive-In Theater experiences will run from late July through August. Fans may book a Disney+ Dive-In Theater experience by going to Swimply's website or downloading the Swimply app. Disney+ Dive-In Theater dates and details "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids": Taking place from July 29 to Aug. 1, the experience will allow guests to "enter through a giant 'shrink ray' laser tunnel and emerge in a giant-sized world featuring a cereal bowl swimming pool, Cheerio pool floats, a towering popcorn box, and massive ants," according to Disney+ and Swimply. "Camp Rock": From Aug. 6-9, guests can enjoy a fire pit, bunk assignments, friendship bracelet-making stations and sing the night away on a stage enhanced by a "lakeside feel." "Alien": The third and final experience, running from Aug. 14-17, will transport guests into deep space. According to Disney+ and Swimply, "Guests will be recruited by Weyland-Yutani agents, pose in a flight suit, and watch the film surrounded by eerie green lighting and sci-fi sound design."

Entrepreneur UK's London 100: Belong
Belong, a wealth-building platform aimed at, and founded by millennials, aims to make forms of wealth-building that have traditionally been the domain of a wealthy few, accessible to a wider demographic. Opinions expressed by Entrepreneur contributors are their own. You're reading Entrepreneur United Kingdom, an international franchise of Entrepreneur Media. Industry: Fintech Founded by former investment banker Avion Gray and behavioural economist Samantha Rosenberg, Belong, a wealth-building platform aimed at, and founded by millennials, aims to make forms of wealth-building that have traditionally been the domain of a wealthy few, accessible to a wider demographic. In March of 2024, Belong launched after securing £2.95m in pre-seed funding - the largest ever European pre-seed round by a female founding team. To make profitable long-term investment more accessible for a younger generation, Gray and Rosenberg have developed a unique Boost Loan feature that matches the amount the user has invested. Having launched a Crowdcube campaign this February, they have successfully closed the round having raised just shy of half a million pounds at £490,000. The fund got immense support from the get-go having reached its target of £300,000 in less than five hours. The funds will go towards helping to develop new and financial products for their ever-growing list of customers in addition to their novel 'Boost loan' proposition. Backed by the likes of Octopus Ventures, serial entrepreneurs Ricky Knox and Gautham Radhakrishnan and Nutmeg co-founder, William Todd, Belong is on a mission to disrupt the investment industry.
