In total, the Tesco customer had bagged more than 30 different items for the bargain deal of less than £10. I've only ever bought one jumper and a shirt Janine McDonald uses swaps and local community resources to find school uniform for her two daughters – now 13 and 15. They're both in different schools, with different uniform, but Janine, who is a single mum, has limited the expense by swapping and finding donated items to fit both girls. She says: 'At both schools, they have a pre-loved uniform section, so you can go in and either swap something or buy it for just literally a couple of pounds.' In Manchester where Janine lives there are Gateway centres which are a 'one-stop-shop' for a wide range of council and community services. She added: 'The local gateway hubs hold a uniform Donation Point so you can just drop off any uniform there, and then anybody is free just to come and have a look and take anything that they need. 'I find they last absolutely fine, so I don't need to buy new. "I reckon that has saved me a couple of hundred pounds for each child.' 'You get the uniform list, and sometimes it recommends, five pairs of trousers, or X number of this, X number of that,' she says. 'Realistically, you don't need that many. Jailhouse love letters revealed between ex-MLB murderer and his babysitter mistress
Daniel Serafini may be a convicted murder, but he's also a bit of a sweetheart, it seems. Article content The former MLB pitcher who was found guilty of murdering his father-in-law and the attempted murder of his mother-in-law wrote hidden jailhouse love letters to his babysitter mistress, it has been revealed. Article content The letters were read in a court proceeding by Samantha Scott, Serafini's accomplice, who agreed to testify against him as part of a deal with prosecutors. Article content Article content In the correspondence, Serafini made plans for himself and Scott after being released from jail, including a potential airport parking lot rendezvous, People magazine reported. Article content Article content 'I love you, and I think about you so much of every day,' Serafini wrote, as read by Scott in court. 'As crazy as it sounds, I wish we had more court days just so I could see your face. I wish I could tell you not to be so scared, but I understand that you are. There's really nothing to be scared of. And it will be over soon.' Article content Serafini described what he had planned for himself and Scott once they were released from jail. Article content 'First plan is to hit the airport parking lot,' Serafini wrote, with Scott explaining in her testimony that it was a reference to a time when the couple had engaged in sexual intercourse in the parking lot at Reno-Tahoe International Airport. Article content According to the letter, Serafini planned to profit from his new-found notoriety. Article content Article content 'I'm writing a book right now to help pay for your and my attorney's fees. I'm also hiring you to help me finish it,' Serafini wrote. 'So we need to take a couple of road trips to get some facts straight. Plus photos of certain places. I'm pretty sure there will be some stops along the highway on the way and back.' Article content Article content Scott also admitted that the reference to making the stops also stemmed from previous sexual encounters she and Serafini had. Article content The former MLB hurler also promised to protect Scott if she had any problems while in jail. Article content 'If anyone f**** with you, I have a long reach from here. I'll take care of it,' Serafini wrote. 'Only problem is my news report is delayed a bit. Looking forward to being with you again soon. Love you, love me.' Article content Serafini signed the note as 'The Wolf,' which Scott admitted was perplexing because she had never heard him referred to by that nickname.

His gal pal and the family's nanny, Samantha Scott, has already pleaded guilty to being an accessory and is testifying against Serafini.
