Avinash Dwivedi on his wife Sambhavna Seth being 6 years elder to him; says ‘It has never affected me, has worked to my advantage'
Actor and dancer Avinash Dwivedi opened up about his marriage to Sambhavna Seth on Siddharth Kannan's podcast, addressing their six-year age difference with refreshing honesty. 'We have a 6–7 years' age gap. It has never affected me. In fact, it's been to my advantage,' he said confidently. 'Our families didn't have a problem, but they were concerned about what others would say. My family thought, 'If he's sure about the marriage, then it's fine.'' Avinash credits Sambhavna's maturity and experience for positively influencing his life and career. 'Because of this age gap and Sambhavna's work experience, it has worked in my advantage. Things that I tend to neglect, she makes sure to correct. And that has helped me grow, personally and professionally.' In an interview on Paras Chhabra's podcast, Sambhavna recalled how their story began. 'I was judging a reality show called Dance Sangram, where Avinash was a contestant. I had earned enough for both of us to live decently. We didn't know things would change so much after marriage.' 'I have two cars—one Mercedes and one BMW. We have four houses in Mumbai now. The latest two are under construction. But I could invest in real estate only because of my father,' Sambhavna said with pride. Recalling her humble beginnings, she added, 'I bought my first house around 20 years ago for Rs 18–20 lakhs. Back then, even Rs 1 lakh was a big amount. My father carried the first Rs 1–2 lakh for the registry. He pushed me to make that investment. Today, that same house is worth Rs 1–2 crore.' Sambhavna credited her work in , live shows, and reality TV for helping her afford her second house. She said, 'I did so many Bhojpuri songs and back then I would get ousted from films a lot. I had also become very popular back then.' She emphasized that her financial growth wasn't overnight but came from years of focused work and frugal living. 'The second house that I got because of my reality and live shows. I did a lot to earn and didn't spend frivolously. I would only work,' she explained. She also acknowledged the crucial role her husband, actor and content creator , played in their current real estate expansion. 'I was content with two houses, but Avinash dreamed bigger. He had a major role in getting the two new ones,' she said. Recently, Avinash gifted Sambhavna her dream car, marking another milestone in their journey. 'I had shot for six to seven days for that song. I was the main in that song. They might have thought something and I got replace d. Maybe someone else was the producer's favourite. Sambhavna painfully revealed, 'There's a genetic testing that's supposed to be done before embryo transfer. They didn't do that. The embryo was genetically abnormal.' The final blow came when the doctor casually remarked, 'You already have so many issues. It's unfortunate.' With a heavy heart, Sambhavna, who has been married to Avinash Dwivedi, concluded, 'You spend in lakhs, but your heart breaks in crores. And only the husband-wife go through the pain.'
