Sana'a - Saba: The Board of Directors of the Sana'a Governorate Cleanliness and Improvement Fund discussed the Fund's progress and needs in its meeting today, chaired by Governor Abdulbasit Al-Hadi. The meeting, which included the Fund's Executive Director, Engineer Sami Al-Turabi, and members of the Board of Directors, reviewed the progress of implementing the outcomes of the joint meeting of the Administrative Body and the Fund's Board of Directors held on 17 Jumada Al-Akhira, regarding the implementation of several projects related to developing the Fund's work. The attendees approved the Fund's final accounts for the fiscal year 2025, taking into account the comments received from the Governorate's Finance Office and recommending that they be incorporated into future final accounts. The meeting also approved the Fund's needs plan for the fiscal year 1446 AH - 2025 AD, amounting to 5.8 billion riyals, as well as the plan to plant trees at the entrances and streets of the Governorate for the year 1446 AH, at an estimated cost of 23 million 921 thousand riyals, from the Fund's own resources for 2025 AD. The Fund's management proposal to establish a waste recycling and sorting plant was approved, and the designated site was handed over to the Fund to enable the preparation of studies for the plant's construction. The meeting also discussed and approved a request to purchase and install an electronic scale at the temporary landfill to weigh cleaning equipment loads and monitor loads. The attendees recommended contacting the directors of the directorates and neighborhood affairs departments to oblige owners of residential buildings and commercial establishments to pave the sidewalks adjacent to them and ensure their cleanliness, which would contribute to the aesthetic appearance of cities and streets. At the meeting, Governor Al-Hadi emphasized the importance of developing the Fund's administrative and field work mechanisms and following up on the implementation of public awareness programs to strengthen the relationship between sanitation workers and community members. He noted the local authority's commitment to overcoming the difficulties facing the Fund to improve sanitation and environmental work, develop administrative work, and monitor and evaluate field performance. The Governor of Sana'a emphasized the need to redouble efforts to enhance sanitation and improvement services to achieve qualitative indicators in waste removal and street and neighborhood improvement. Comprehensive cleaning campaign in Sana'a Governorate in preparation for month of Ramadan

Sana'a - Saba: Sana'a Governorate launched today a comprehensive cleaning campaign under the slogan "Cleanliness is a faith-based behavior and a collective commitment", in preparation for the month of Ramadan 1446 AH. The campaign is being implemented over a week under the supervision of the Cleanliness and Improvement Fund in the governorate and with the participation of official bodies and the local community. It aims to remove waste from streets and neighborhoods in various directorates. The new directorates of Sana'a, Bani Matar, Sanhan and Bani Bahlol, Hamdan, and Bani Hashish witnessed the launch of the campaign in the presence of local and executive leaders, where officials stressed the importance of the initiative in enhancing community awareness of the importance of cleanliness and improving the environmental situation, especially in areas with high population density. They also pointed out the need for the local community to participate in the success of the campaign and cooperate with cleaning teams to remove waste and keep streets and neighborhoods clean. The campaign includes removing slums and violations from markets and public streets, in addition to regulating traffic and improving the environment of residential neighborhoods. The campaign is accompanied by an awareness program that includes distributing leaflets and banners to shops and establishments, in addition to broadcasting awareness messages via cleaning vehicles to encourage citizens to adhere to sound practices in disposing of waste. The Executive Director of the Cleanliness Fund in the Governorate, Eng. Sami Al-Turabi, confirmed that the campaign comes within the efforts aimed at promoting the culture of cleanliness as part of the faith identity, pointing out that all the necessary equipment and technical and administrative personnel are provided to implement it successfully. The Deputy Director of the Fund, Muhammad Al-Dawla, and the Director of Media and Awareness, Sadiq Al-Jamali, also called on citizens to interact positively with the campaign and not to throw waste randomly, stressing that commitment to cleanliness is a collective responsibility that contributes to improving the civilized appearance of the governorate and welcoming the month of Ramadan in a healthy environment befitting its spiritual status.
