Sharwa, Sampath Nandi Unite for ‘Bhogi'
For the first time ever, charismatic star Sharwa and blockbuster maker Sampath Nandi come together for an ambitious pan-India spectacle — '#Sharwa38'. The film is produced by KK Radhamohan under the Sri Sathya Sai Arts banner and presented by Lakshmi Radhamohan. Set against the raw, volatile backdrop of the 1960s, 'Bhogi' promises a cinematic experience brimming with grit, grandeur, and gripping storytelling. The film's title was revealed through a powerful concept video, aptly named First Spark, igniting intrigue and anticipation. The video unveils the film's essence as director Sampath Nandi narrates a tale steeped in destiny, fire, and transformation. As Sharwa immerses himself in the narrative, he envisions a world forged in conflict and courage. A symbolic gesture — a sword exchanged — seals the pact. Thus, 'Bhogi' is born. Sharwa, transformed in both physique and spirit, steps into a role sculpted from steel and soul. Principal photography begins today on a grand scale with a colossal set constructed in Hyderabad, portions of which were showcased in the concept video. The production team dedicated six months to bringing this vision to life, transforming nearly 20 acres of land into a breathtaking backdrop. The film features Anupama Parameswaran and Dimple Hayathi as the leading ladies, both playing roles rich in substance and performance potential. With an expansive production canvas and a vintage setting rooted in the 1960s North Telangana–Maharashtra region, 'Bhogi' will boast top-tier technical excellence. Kiran Kumar Manne joins as the art director, while the cinematographer, music director, and editor will be announced shortly. Anupama Parameswaran comes on board for ‘Sharwa38'
Charming actor Sharwanand is all set to explore new horizons with his first-ever Pan-India film, titled #Sharwa38. Directed by blockbuster filmmaker Sampath Nandi, the film promises a gripping, high-voltage action drama, a genre shift for both the actor and the director. The project is being mounted on a grand scale by producer KK Radhamohan under the Sri Sathya Sai Arts banner, with Lakshmi Radhamohan presenting it. The team has taken meticulous care during pre-production to ensure a top-notch cinematic experience. Adding to the excitement, talented actress Anupama Parameswaran joins the cast as the female lead. Known for her powerful performances, Anupama's role in the film is crucial in driving the narrative forward. The announcement poster teases her character's intensity, featuring her in a rugged 1960s look, although her face remains hidden to maintain intrigue. Tamannaah-starrer 'Odela 2' had broken even before release, says Creator Sampath Nandi
, the creator of the popular 'Odela' franchise, has disclosed that the second instalment of the franchise featuring actress in the lead, had broken even, even before its release. From then till today, everything that happened, happened on its own." The creator of the franchise disclosed that the budget of the film was not what people thought it was. "Many of you are speculating as to when this film will break even. Let me tell you that this film had broken even, even before its release by the grace of God. We consider every rupee that comes to us from the audience as a gift from the Almighty. This film is already on its way to success," he disclosed. Stating that one of the biggest reasons for the film's success was the film's visuals, Sampath Nandi said the visuals in the film had come in for a lot of praise from audiences. In particular, he said the CG portions had come in for a lot of appreciation and praised the Prasad Labs CG team for delivering exceptional CG work at a low cost. "They have done excellent CG on a very low budget. Thanks to all of them," he said. The film, which released on April 17 this year, had triggered huge expectations as this was the second instalment from the 'Odela' franchise, the first instalment of which was titled 'Odela Railway Station'. Produced by D Madhu under the direction of Ashok Teja, the film has music by Ajaneesh Loknath and cinematography by Soundar Rajan. One reason why the film has caught the attention of fans and film buffs is that Tamannaah, for the first time in her two-decade-old career, plays the role of a Naga Sadhu in this film. Apart from Tamannah, the film also features a host of stars including Hebbah Patel, Dayanand Reddy, Yuva, Murali Sharma, Sharath Lohitashwa, Srikanth Iyengar, Naga Mahesh, Vamshi, Gagan Vihari, Surender Reddy, Bhupal and Pooja Reddy among others.
