4 Most affordable flip phones to buy in India- Motorola Razr 50, Infinix Zero Flip, and more

Want to buy a flip-style phone, but do not want to spend a huge amount? Then we have got you covered. In India, you will find plenty of foldable phones available at a much lower price than the flagship phones like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6, Motorola Razr 60 Ultra, and others. An affordable flip phone will provide users with an experience of how the foldable fold function works, and it comes in handy in day-to-day life. Therefore, here's a list of the 4 most affordable flip phones to buy in India. Motorola Razr 50: This smartphone was launched last year as an affordable alternative to the Razr 50 Ultra model. The foldable is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor paired with 8GB RAM, bringing powerful performance and day-to-day usage. It features a 3.6-inch outer display and a 6.9-inch pOLED main display for crisp visuals. Additionally, you can get the Motorola Razr 50 for under Rs.50000 on the e-commerce platform. Infinix Zero Flip: Another affordable flip phone to consider is Infinix Zero Flip, which was launched last year. The smartphone offers some impressive features such as a MediaTek Dimensity 8020 chip, a 4720 mAh Lithium-ion Polymer Battery, and more. With the Infinix Zero Flip, users can also capture detailed images with its 50MP dual rear cameras. The Infinix Zero Flip is available at just Rs.45999 on Amazon. TECNO Phantom V Flip 2: The next affordable smartphone you can buy is Tecno's latest Phantom V Flip 2, which comes with a sleek and unique design. Now, the TECNO Phantom V Flip 2 can be bought at just Rs.54999 from Amazon. I went hands-on with the Samsung Polygon Foldable

Edgar Cervantes / Android Authority So, I was waltzing around the Samsung booth at Display Week 2025 today, thinking I would probably not find much regarding smartphones, when I suddenly came across a really interesting phone: the Samsung Polygon Foldable. It's been flying a bit under the radar for a couple of months, so it was an exciting find. The best part? Our friends at Samsung removed the display case and allowed us to go hands-on with it! It certainly has a unique design language, reminiscent of a Tesla Cybertruck. Hate it or love it, it is definitely interesting, and it's unlike any of the other foldable display flip phones we have seen. My first impression was that it felt very solid and had a really nice weight to it. It makes sense, though. That mostly metallic body will undoubtedly add some weight to it, but it felt good, or at least I happen to prefer it when phones have a nice heft to them. Edgar Cervantes / Android Authority Of course, this also means the front display gets a bit smaller. I didn't mind that, considering the fun look and build added so much to the experience. By the way, I did get to use it, but the experience is far from polished. In fact, the UI in both the external and internal displays seemed a bit wonky. Also, the external cameras were fake and actually showed the display under them, as opposed to having actual cameras. This is definitely not a fully functional device. I feel like it was pretty much a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 that the company gutted and created a cool new design for, not worrying about much else than the looks. That said, we must keep in mind that this is a concept design phone. Samsung is just having some fun with different aesthetics and trying to showcase what its foldable display tech can do. This also means that, like most other concept products, this one likely won't make it to the market. Or will it? It is all up to Samsung, but it honestly seems unlikely. I know I wish it would, though. I actually happened to like it a lot! Would you buy a Samsung Polygon Foldable if it came to market? It would go great with your Cybertruck, if you have one! Of course, we have to realize we likely won't be able to buy this one. I guess we will have to settle with one of the fantastic options on our list of the best foldable phones for now.

Samsung Confirms ‘Innovative Design' For Galaxy Z Folding Phones And Galaxy Watch

Samsung just held its Q1 earnings call, on April 30. In it, there were intriguing comments about what changes will be coming to the Samsung Galaxy Watch series, and future folding phones. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6: will the next folding phones from Samsung have new form factors? In the course of the call (transcribed here at Seeking Alpha), Daniel Araujo from the MX division. Araujo explained that 'we plan to sustain flagship centric sales with a successful launch of the new S25 Edge and continued strong sales of the S25 series,' he said There may even be different form factors for Samsung phones. Daniel Araujo commented, 'As for new form factors, we believe that beyond the form factor itself, it's essential to ensure a level of product quality and usability in real-world scenarios that's aligned with market demands and customer expectations. We are reviewing products with new form factors with a focus on securing a meaningful competitive advantage in performance and quality. The call also went on to discuss future wearables. 'For wearables, we will expand our market presence with a strengthened premium experience while expanding our lineup across all price segments. We plan to launch a new Galaxy Watch with an innovative design and enhanced health-related features,' Araujo explained. It's hard to tell if this means an all-new hardware design or tweaks to the existing look. But 'strengthened premium,' says that the higher-end of the line will be important. And at the very least the 'enhanced health-related features,' as Samsung puts it, indicates that there will be new and/or improved sensors to provide more health improvements. Let's remember that the Galaxy Watch already measures blood pressure, something Apple Watch has yet to match. There were more hints in the call, referring to the brand's folding phones, saying that 'performance, design and durability' are coming. This doubtless refers to phones like the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, expected to be released later in 2025. And just as the reference to wearables mentions the line-up will be across multiple price segments, so the section on folding phones mentions, 'We plan to strengthen our product lineup in order to create new demand and expand our affordable customer base,' which chimes with reports of an upcoming folder at a lower price. Since every folding phone so far has been expensive, this is a great development. The call also, unsurprisingly, mentioned tariffs. 'I believe this is one of the most important questions due to the rapid changes in policies and geopolitical tensions among major countries, it's difficult to accurately predict the business impact of tariffs and established countermeasures, Samsung said, in answer to a question.

Motorola Razr 60 Ultra vs Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6: Specs, features, and price compared

Motorola Razr 60 Ultra vs Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6: Motorola is all set to launch its new generation foldable, the Razr 60 Ultra, in global markets today. The smartphone is expected to get a significant performance upgrade with the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, along with new advancements in AI-powered features. While the smartphone's specifications look promising, will it be able to compete with last year's Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6? To know about upgrades and competition between one of the popular foldables, we have curated a detailed specs comparison to know how Motorola has planned to take Samsung's position in the foldable market. Also read: Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 review: A worthy upgrade or just another foldable smartphone The Motorola Razr 60 Ultra will likely get very few design changes and may retain a similar profile as its predecessor. However, the company is expected to bring new hinge material for less crease visibility and new material for the smartphone's build. Based on leaked marketing material and renders, we can expect a wooden finish and leather back design. Despite the upgrade, the Razr 60 Ultra could still offer an IPX8 water resistance rating. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 comes with a armour aluminium frame and glass build, making it stronger and more durable with an IP48 water resistance rating. This was one of my favourite compact smartphones due to the premium design and less crease visibility. Therefore, to compete with Samsung's popular clamshell phone, Motorola has to up its design game and bring something new and refined. The Motorola Razr 60 Ultra is expected to feature a similar 4-inch cover display and a 6.9-inch main foldable display. Both displays are expected to offer a 165Hz refresh rate. Talking about display experience, the Motorola is one step away from Samsung when compared with the Razr 50 Ultra due to the bigger cover screen, UI and app accessibility on the small screen. Also read: Motorola Razr 60 Ultra, Edge 60 Pro launch today: Key specs, prices tipped online The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 features a 3.4-inch Super AMOLED cover display and a 6.7-inch Dynamic LTPO foldable AMOLED display. The cover screen offers a 60Hz refresh rate, and the main screen offers a 120Hz refresh rate. Both displays also differ in brightness levels. The Motorola Razr 60 Ultra will likely feature a similar dual-camera system, providing a 50MP main camera and a 50MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. On the main screen, it could include a 32MP selfie camera. Whereas, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 also includes a similar dual rear camera that features a 50MP main camera with an ISOCELL GN3 sensor and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. Therefore, Samsung misses out on telephoto lens capabilities. The Motorola Razr 60 Ultra will likely be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor that will likely be coupled with upgraded 18 GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. Motorola is also teasing some new AI-powered features, which will likely be introduced during launch. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 relies on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, which is an older generation flagship processor. However, during my time with the Galaxy Z Flip 6, I did not face any stutter, and the smartphone performed quite well. The Motorola Razr 60 Ultra is expected to be backed by a 4275mAh battery that may come with 45W wired charging support. Whereas, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 is equipped with a 4000mAh battery that comes with 25W charging support. The Motorola Razr 60 Ultra is yet to be released, but considering it's a flagship segment phone, it will be priced higher in India. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 was launched at a starting price of Rs.109,999 in India.

New Galaxy Z Flip FE render reveals Samsung's sticking with a familiar design

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. After denying any such plans back in 2023, Samsung finally seems to be on the verge of bringing us a cheaper foldable. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip FE is expected to follow Samsung's flagship foldables later in the year, and now, thanks to CAD renders from OnLeaks and SammyGuru, we have an idea of what the more wallet-friendly flip phone will look like. As you can see from the pictures spread across this piece, the new handset looks nearly indistinguishable from the currently available Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6. The hinge, the dual camera array, and even the cover panel look virtually unchanged, with only a minor size discrepancy between the two. The Z Flip 6 had dimensions of 165.1 x 71.9 x 6.9 mm, while the FE apparently measures 165.1 x 71.7 x 7.4mm. In other words, it's a little less wide and just over 7% thicker. While it may look the same as this year's model, it should appear strikingly different to the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7. We're expecting the handset to pack a substantially larger front screen — up 0.6 inches to 4 inches across — with case leaks backing it up. Hopefully that means Samsung is planning more utility for the cover screen similar to what Motorola provides with the Moto Razr Plus. Although it may sound disappointing for the FE to inherit last year's look, it's actually good news. The Galaxy Z Flip has come a long way in five years, with early models sporting just a thin strip of screen on the outside frame. This was good for short notifications and telling the time at a glance, but not much else. Samsung could have resurrected that for the Galaxy Z Flip FE, and it's a relief that it has apparently chosen not to. Beyond the CAD renders, SammyGuru suggests that Samsung could use the same Exynos 2400e chipset as found in last year's Galaxy S24 FE. That offered slightly weaker performance than last year's Galaxy S24 and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, and will be a generation behind the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, which are expected to use the same Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset as found on the Galaxy S25 family. That said, it's still fast enough for most people's needs, and crucially, it runs Samsung's Galaxy AI features without issue. The render shows a dual-camera array on the back, but the site doesn't offer any insights as to the specs, merely saying it 'could likely' be the same as the Z Flip 6's 50-megapixel main camera and 12-megapixel ultrawide sensor. All in all, it looks rather promising, but it's price that will make or break it. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 starts at $999, which is the same as Motorola's Razr Plus. If Samsung can match the $699 starting price of the cheaper Motorola Razr 2024, then it could be a very appealing proposition indeed, and a contender to replace it as the value pick on our list of the best foldable phones.
