Samsung is giving its TVs a major AI upgrade — here's what you can do now
Samsung is bringing some massive changes to its AI and "Click to Search" functionality for its 2025 TV lineup. Samsung announced the update in a newsroom blog on its Korean site. It focuses on enhancing its Bixby AI voice assistant with improved natural language processing (NLP) while watching cable TV, Samsung TV Plus and terrestrial broadcasting. The new update will only be applicable on 2025 TVs, specially its more premium sets that includes New QLED, OLED, QLED, and The Frame TVs. it will first roll out in Korea, then expand to other regions in the coming months. It's no secret that Bixby is a bit of a headache to use on most Samsung sets, but the new Click to Search update should make it a far better experience. Samsung is kitting the Bixby assistant with better AI programming, specifically highlighting that users will feel "as if they were talking to their TV." Newer models among the best Samsung TVs have a so-called AI button that will now have broader capabilities depending on the situation. When pressed, Bixby can either relay pertinent information about the on-screen content, or you can simply ask it a question about what's on-screen. That's because Samsung has enhanced Bixby with Natural Language Processing (NLP). It's a subset in the field of AI that focuses on bridging human language with computer interpretation. It essentially will make Bixby far easier to use and more interactive. This new Click to Search functionality will only be available in certain applications, like Samsung TV Plus, terrestrial broadcasting and cable TV. Samsung claims it's "considering expanding to OTT channels in the future," but gives no word on if it will be available with some of the best streaming services. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. Samsung says the new update will only be applicable for 2025 sets. These include its Neo QLED models, like the Samsung QN990F 8K TV, OLED TVs, like the Samsung S95F, QLEDs, and even The Frame. It will first launch in Korea, then expand to other parts of the world later this year. It's unclear if this update will be retroactively added to older models through Samsung's seve- year Tizen OS update plan, but it seems unlikely. Samsung promoted AI as the main backbone of its 2025 TV lineup, and the hardware on older sets might not be as capable — not to mention the fact that the AI button is only available on newer models.

Millions of Brits receive FREE new sports channel hidden on their TVs – and some mobiles can watch it too
SAMSUNG has added a new hidden sports channel to its TV service, and millions of Brits will be happy to hear it's free. The South Korean tech company already offers a host of no-cost sports content through Samsung TV Plus, but this new channel is a world first. Sports fans will be intrigued by the latest upgrade, which has given viewers a hidden channel. Samsung's TV Plus app is built into their televisions and provides free TV supported by ads. The free streaming service is available on Samsung Smart TVs released between 2016 and 2025. Following a mega update last year, Samsung says its library of content now includes more than 350 live channels. The tech giant is constantly updating the service, and so there's always something new for avid users. The latest upgrade for viewers Fans will be excited to know that Samsung has expanded its large sporting portfolio to include rugby. World Rugby and Samsung have partnered to launch the RugbyPass TV FAST channel. The channel was made available immediately in the UK and will be launching soon in the US. The partnership marks the first time RugbyPass TV content will be available on a FAST (Free Ad-supported Streaming Television) service. With a mix of live international action, feature programming and classic matches, the channel will become a hub for rugby fans who live and breath the sport. Get a glimpse of Samsung's latest mega slim smartphone The reason behind the upgrade The partnership demonstrates a clear move for World Rugby's desire to grow the sport globally by scaling up the global digital footprint. After the rise of stars like Ilona Maher and Antoine Dupont, who have become recognisable faces outside of rugby, the sport has clearly grown internationally, and this partnership will make it more accessible. World Rugby Chief Executive Alan Gilpin said: 'With the US and UK representing two of rugby's most important and promising markets, this exciting collaboration with Samsung TV Plus is a major milestone in our journey to grow the game globally. "Through RugbyPass TV FAST, we're bringing the excitement, diversity, and global appeal of the game to more fans, in more homes, than ever before.' Previous upgrades for viewers 3 On its website, Samsung boasts: "No credit card. No contract. No cables." This is the latest update for Samsung, which has continually grown its sports FAST output. The RugbyPass TV FAST upgrade comes after a huge update last year, where five new channels were added to the in-built app. The five sports channels added in 2024 were: MLB – focused on Major League Baseball replays and recaps PGA TOUR – golfing documentaries, behind-the-scenes footage, highlights, recaps, and competitions AHL – live American Hockey League games Formula One Channel – analysis, replays, and documentaries for F1, F2, F3, and F1 Academy races ONE Championship TV – combat sports highlights, series, and behind-the-scenes television Samsung TV Plus also offers on-demand content, with movies and shows all free to access. Viewers wanting to access Samsung Smart TV Plus can watch it on Samsung Smart Monitors, Samsung Family Hub refrigerators, and via the web. The best price I've ever seen on the Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 is here — get $800 off my favorite gaming monitor now
It isn't even Amazon Prime Day yet, and I've already spotted an epic deal on the one ultra-wide OLED gaming monitor that all PC gamers should have on their radar — and what an upgrade it will make. You can now grab the Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 for $800 off at Amazon, and with its 49-inch dual-QHD (5,120 x 1,440) OLED display for incredible image quality, 240Hz refresh rate for super-smooth frame rates and ultra-fast 0.03ms response time,. You can see why we name it one of the best monitors out there. After reviewing dozens of gaming monitors, the Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 is still one of the best I'd recommend, and now that it's $800 off, it's a good time to make the jump and experience a truly immersive ultra-wide experience. The Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 ticks all the right boxes when it comes to gaming and productivity, and with this $800 discount, it's just got more kudos. Expect an ultra-wide 49-inch dual-QHD (5,120 x 1,440) OLED panel, 240Hz refresh rate, 0.03ms response time, immersive 1800R curvature and even Samsung TV Plus features to binge your way through shows. If you've been waiting for a worthwhile visual upgrade to your PC setup that offers an advantage in both productivity for work and gaming, the Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 is it. It may have come out a couple of years back, but to this day, it's still held its place on our list of best monitors due to its premium specs. We noted two downsides in our Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 review: its price and gargantuan size. Now that it's back down to its lowest cost, it has an edge over a lot of its competition, including the recent $1,999 LG UltraGear 45GX950A-B. And, if you have enough space for a 49-inch curved OLED display (trust me, you'll want to measure how big your desk is), then it's hard to go wrong with this as your monitor upgrade. Whether you're looking to put an RTX 50-series gaming PC to the test, thanks to its high 240Hz refresh rate, need extremely fast input with its 0.03 response rate, want a multi-window setup for browsing and spreadsheets, or you're just looking for real immersion when watching shows, this Odyssey OLED G9 can do it all. Oh, and with incredible detail with its bright and colorful OLED panel, and its AMD FreeSync Premium support delivers screen tear-free gameplay. It's also a great match for console gamers with its 2.1 HDMI ports. I'm always amazed by ultra-wide curved gaming monitors, especially when playing games. whether it's new releases like Doom: The Dark Ages or other fast-paced competitive shooters like The Finals, Odyssey OLED G9 would make any of those games (including anything I throw at it) shine. If you're wondering what it's like to shift from a dual-monitor setup to an ultrawide display, we've got you covered. Otherwise, if you've made up your mind, you can't go wrong with what this Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 delivers, especially when you get to $800.
