Samsung unveils new Galaxy that makes your current Android phone look inferior
Samsung has just announced the release of its new Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 which finally make foldables seem way more appealing. Samsung is back with some new bendable phones and they look flippin' impressive. The Korean technology giant has just revealed its latest Galaxy range at its Unpacked event in New York, which has made things thinner, faster and way more durable. For those wanting a tablet squeezed in their pocket, there's the latest Galaxy Z Fold 7, which opens like a book to reveal a massive 8-inch screen. To make this year's model easier to handle, Samsung has put it on a serious diet and reduced the size and weight. In fact, it's now so skinny, the firm is boasting this is officially its thinnest and lightest foldable ever. Measuring in at just 8.9mm, it's actually thinner when folded than the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Despite its wafer-thin appearance, it's also supremely powerful thanks to it packing the hugely impressive Snapdragon 8 Elite chip under its shell. That means everything from app launching, multitasking, gaming and productivity will see a boost in speed. Of course, when you see how thin it is, there could be worries about durability. Luckily, Samsung reckons it has that covered thanks to it being made of tough stuff. Owners should be able to happily use if for years thanks to an Armour FlexHinge, Gorilla Glass and an Advanced Armour Aluminium frame. Other features include a more useful 6.5-inch cover screen that's now slightly bigger than before. It also gets an improved triple-lens camera with main 200MP lens and smart upgrades such as auto image editing and audio eraser which gets rid of noise in your videos. It will arrive this month and cost a hefty £1,799. The Z Fold 7 looks impressive, but it's not the only new device arriving from Samsung. Along with that foldable, there's also a new Z Flip 7 coming soon as well. This flippable device arrives with a more expansive front display which makes it easier to reply to messages and play games without flipping open the main 6.9-inch panel. It also gets a bigger battery, improved design and more power thanks to Samsung's Exynos chip inside. It will cost £1,049 when it goes in sale. Finally, Samsung is introducing a Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE which makes owning a new bendy call maker a little more affordable. It's not quite as feature-packed as its siblings but it only costs £849. 'We're entering into a new era of smartphone innovation. As AI becomes the new UI, people need devices that learn, understand and anticipates their needs,' said Annika Bizon, Mobile Experience VP of Product and Marketing, Samsung UK & Ireland. 'The new Galaxy Z Fold7 combines powerful hardware with Galaxy AI in an ultra thin and ultra sleek form factor – supporting people to get things done in previously unimaginable ways.'

UK's toughest jobs that include farming and emergency services
According to a recent study, the UK's most challenging everyday jobs include those of firefighters, paramedics, and farmers. Surgeons, police officers, and care workers are also seen as professions for only the toughest individuals, while teachers and social workers engage in some of the most mentally demanding tasks. The research revealed that the majority of Brits believe these tough job roles deserve greater recognition for their crucial part in keeping the nation ticking over. A whopping 64% of people think these workers are essential to keeping the country running with calls for more appreciation due to their long hours, minimal rest, daily exposure to hazardous conditions, and dealing with dangerous individuals. Samsung commissioned the study to coincide with the launch of their new Rugged device range, crafted to withstand the demands of challenging work environments. To highlight the demands of agricultural work, Samsung collaborated with television personality and farmer Amanda Owens. Owens shed light on the taxing demands of farm work, including dealing with animals and machinery early in cold mornings and during severe weather conditions. Amanda Owen expressed the importance of resilient technology on the farm: " Farming isn't for the faint hearted – we're up before dawn, battling the elements, and it takes real resilience out here." She added: "In this environment, our tech needs to be just as tough – anything that can't handle water or a drop is a liability. We need something rugged on the outside, smart on the inside, that can keep up with the job." Recent findings indicate that almost half of Britons doubt their ability to handle physically demanding jobs. This figure falls to 40% among men, while 52% of women feel confident in tackling roles requiring greater emotional and mental strength. Young people appear more willing to embrace labour-intensive roles, with 61% of those aged 18-24 open to such work compared to a mere 11% of Boomers who are reluctant to engage in these types of jobs. Annika Bizon from Samsung UK and Ireland, makers of the Galaxy XCover 7 Pro and Tab Active5 Pro Enterprise Edition devised for extreme conditions, expressed: "Tough roles demand robust support." She added: "Whether it's maintaining connectivity in the field or ensuring mission-critical tasks aren't interrupted, having the right tech in place is essential. "The Rugged range has been engineered specifically for these environments - combining military-grade durability with the business tools workforces require."
