Kapkapiii Movie Review : Killer comedy meets Chilling Fun!

In a stressful environment today, everyone wants to forget their stress and worries for a while. Well, this weekend, the film Kapkapiii is here to do that job. It is a perfect combination of killer comedy meeting chilling fun. The film will definitely leave you laughing and make you feel refreshed. The story revolves around six broke, jobless friends who are living together in a rented house. They have no aim in life and have no idea what they are doing with it. One day, out of boredom they decide to contact a ghost using their jugaadu Ouija board — made from a carrom board! Their life turns upside down when a real ghost named Anamika actually shows up and turns their house into a haunted drama zone. There are flying glasses, creepy voices, and ghosts answering questions that no one else should know. To top it all, comes another character Kabir (Tusshar Kapoor) who adds up to this non-stop madness. The performances by the cast makes the film so interesting. Shreyas Talpade as Manu is hilarious. He is the fake leader of this gang and he has nailed this role. Tusshar Kapoor steals the show with his expressions and comic timing. Every time he appears, the screen lights up. The rest of the characters like Nanku, Nirup, Rivin , every character have their own flavour which adds to the overall entertainment quotient of the film. Nanku, the tea-seller with a philosopher vibe, and Nirup, the overqualified-but-jobless guy are super fun. The upstairs girls Siddhi Idnani and Sonia Rathee are not just mere side characters or love interests. They bring their own energy to the film. Especially Siddhi who shows great range compared to her emotional role in The Kerala Story. Sangeeth Sivan, known for madcap comedies like Kya Kool Hai Hum and Yamla Pagla Deewana 2, has managed to bring the same crazy, energetic vibe to Kapkapiii. This time he mixes the right amount of horror to it. It's more like the kind of haunted house you would like to visit. Sadly, this was his final film. Writers Kumar Priyadarshi and Saurabh Anand have nailed the tone of the film . The dialogues are the soul of the film and they are real, quick, and genuinely humor in the film does not feel forced at all. Unlike typical horror-comedies that show ghosts in white sarees , Kapkapiii takes a modern approach. Here the ghost is not just a scary figure- she herself becomes a part of the gang's drama. Kapkapiii gives you fun, laughter and a little thrill which is exactly what is expected from a good weekend movie. If you have ever shared a flat with your friends, have been broke with them, or done something stupid out of boredom, this movie is for you! Director Sangeeth Sivan gives us a lovely final film !

Tusshar Kapoor calls 'Kapkapiii' director Sangeeth Sivan's 'last wish'
Actor Tusshar Kapoor urged the viewers to give a "chance" to his upcoming film ' Kapkapiii ' for its director Sangeeth Sivan , who passed away while the movie was in the post-production stage. Reflecting on the director's final moments, Tusshar shared that releasing the movie on the big screen was Sivan's "last wish." In an interview with ANI, Tusshar stressed the emotional significance of his upcoming film, Kapkapiii, calling it an important release for Sangeeth Sivan and his "happiness." "Whatever happens with the film, I think the audience will decide. And we just want the audience to give the film a chance. That is most important. And I think for Sangeeth ji and his happiness, wherever he is, this is enough," said Tusshar. "Today's film is being released on time, in a good time. When schools and colleges are closed, people are celebrating holidays. And people want to like horror, comedy type of films. Especially in this phase, when they are free. So I would like people to give this film a chance. For themselves, for their entertainment and for Sangeeth ji," said Tusshar. The 'Golmaal' actor recalled the "last wish" of director Sangeeth Sivan and said, "It is obvious that this (Kapkapiii release) was his last wish, the release of the last film he worked on. It's like his last wish. And we are trying to fulfill that wish while it is getting ready to release. I wish for it's success." Actress Siddhi Idnani, who made her Bollywood debut with The Kerala Story, is ready to play a prominent role in the horror-comedy film Kapkapiii. While talking to ANI, the actress shared her expectation of success from the film Kapkapiii, which is similar to her previous Bollywood venture, The Kerala Story. "Kerala story got a very different type of reception which was very close to the heart. And I hope that we get the same kind of reaction with Kapkapiii," said Siddhi Idnani. Actress Sonia Rathee, who is also a part of the Kapkapiii star cast, opened up about her experience working with director Sangeeth Sivan. While talking to ANI, the actress said, "I was a bit scared to start it. To be honest, I was a bit hesitant when I took up the character. But it was a lot of fun. I mean, working with Sangeeth sir, he really helped me take away that filter I had. Like actors and actresses have. I had a lot of fun. I felt very free."
