'Kapkapiii': A hilariously haunted ride awaits with Tusshar Kapoor and Shreyas Talpade
The trailer of '
Kapkapiii
,' the upcoming
horror-comedy
starring
Tusshar Kapoor
and
Shreyas Talpade
, was unveiled this week, teasing a spooky-yet-side-splitting cinematic experience. Directed by the late
Sangeeth Sivan
, the film opens with a group of friends experimenting with an
Ouija board
, unwittingly summoning a series of eerie and uproarious events. What begins as a chilling séance quickly spirals into chaos, filled with mischievous spirits and laugh-out-loud moments.
The film's strength lies in the chemistry between Tusshar and Shreyas, whose comic timing and effortless camaraderie lend the supernatural tale a nostalgic charm. Their pairing, fondly remembered from earlier comedy hits, brings a familiar warmth and rhythm to the ghostly narrative. The trailer suggests that '
Kapkapiii'
may be one of the season's most entertaining crowd-pleasers, combining ghoulish hijinks with witty humour.
Blending horror with comedy in a uniquely Indian context, the film explores paranormal thrills through a lens of absurdity and satire. With its haunted house setup, quirky characters, and clever screenplay, '
Kapkapiii'
walks the fine line between fright and fun. Echoing the energy of Sangeeth Sivan's cult hits like '
Kyaa Kool Hain Hum
,' the film promises a nostalgic throwback with a modern twist on spooky storytelling.
Reflecting on the experience, Tusshar Kapoor shared that working on '
Kapkapiii'
felt like coming home. He noted that the film's realistic setting and relatable characters were enhanced by the creative freedom Sivan offered to the actors. 'The Ouija board element is rarely explored in Hindi films, and this one adds a fresh take,' he said. With a stellar supporting cast, the film is all set to hit the big screens on May 23, delivering frights and fun in equal measure.

'There were rumours that my household was affected and me and my wife were considering living separately. I didn't react then, and I don't react now. Everyone can see the truth,' he said. 'The more I raped, murdered, misbehaved onscreen, the more I got close to my family,' says popular villain Govind Namdev He added that the situation forced him to speak up, especially after people close to him expressed concern. 'People had begun feeling sorry for me — not just the audience, but even close friends and family. So yes, as a respected actor, I felt a responsibility to speak up. Arjun Rampal on 'Rana Naidu' character: Most ruthless character I've ever played
Actor , who will be seen in the second season of the hit streaming show 'Rana Naidu', has said that his character in the show is the most ruthless part he has ever played. Arjun's character of Rauf is the newest, and most dangerous, entrant in the series which stars in the lead. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Talking about his character in the show, Arjun in a statement said, "He's the most ruthless and terrifyingly real character I've ever played." Rauf is a man without empathy, driven by chaos and capable of brutal violence. And yet, nestled within all that destruction, lies something deeply human. "There's a sliver of vulnerability -- especially in how he loves his niece. She's the only person he protects without question," Rampal shares. Insider Scoop: Cast of 'Crakk: Jeetegaa Toh Jiyegaa' unveils behind-the-scenes magic in candid interview "What made playing Rauf so challenging was how he could show tenderness, even while being completely consumed by darkness," the actor added. The series has been created by and directed by Anshuman, , and Abhay Chopra. It is produced by Locomotive Global Media. Earlier, the creator of the show, Karan Anshuman had shared an interesting anecdote from the shooting of the series when Rana Daggubati improvised his lines but it soon went into some other tangent. Rana Daggubati essays the titular character in the series, and was in a heated stand-off against his uncle Venkatesh Daggubati, who essays his estranged father in the series. During the verbal stand-off, the two broke into Telugu language. Now, Karan has a little knowledge of the language, so he, in his director's seat, was under the impression that "magic is about to happen" since both the actors were saying lines in their native language, which essentially means better grip on the dialogue exchange. However, the director was shocked to his bones when he heard the word "biryani". The show is set to stream on Netflix on June 13.
