Tillotama Shome, Shweta Tripathi To Share Screen In Mujhe Jaan Na Kaho Meri Jaan

Helmed by Sanjoy Nag, Mujhe Jaan Na Kaho Meri Jaan will mark Shweta Tripathi's feature film production debut.
Tillotama Shome has carved a niche for herself in the film industry with versatile acting. She is known for her roles in Delhi Crime, Paatal Lok, Monsoon Wedding, The Night Manager among others. Now, the actress is set to appear in Shweta Tripathi 's upcoming film, Mujhe Jaan Na Kaho Meri Jaan.
Helmed by Sanjoy Nag of Yours Truly fame, the movie will mark the Mirzapur star's feature film production debut. The project will go on floors by the end of 2025.
According to a press release shared by PTI, Shweta Tripathi said that the film is very close to her heart. 'This film is very close to my heart, it's not just because it's my first as a producer, but because of what it stands for. Queer love stories deserve to be told with honesty, beauty, and nuance," she mentioned.
The Made In Heaven actress added that she wanted to work with Tillotama Shome for a long time and she is happy about the fact that they are finally collaborating on this film. 'Having Tillotama on board makes this even more special. She's not just a phenomenal actor, she's also someone I deeply admire and trust. We've been wanting to work together for a long time, and I can't think of a better project to begin this journey with," she added.
Aș per the release, Mujhe Jaan Na Kaho Meri Jaan will revolve around a 'queer love story that aims to break stereotypes and spark meaningful conversations". The announcement follows the success of Shweta Tripathi's previous queer-themed stage production, Cook. The play was lauded for its powerful portrayal of love and identity.
Speaking about Tillotama's work front, her latest Bengali film Shadowbox premiered at the 75th Berlin International Film Festival in February. The movie marked the directorial debut of Tanushree Das and Saumyananda Sahi.
