Release of Naveen Polishetty's 'Anaganaga Oka Raju' pushed to January 14, 2026
Director Maari's long awaited rom-com, 'Anaganaga Oka Raju', featuring actor Naveen Polishetty and Meenakshi Chaudhary in the lead, will hit screens for the festival of Sankranthi on January 14 next year, its makers announced on Monday. Chiranjeevi, Nayanthara Start Shooting For Anil Ravipudi's Mega 157
Chiranjeevi and Nayanthara have reportedly started shooting for director Anil Ravipudi's highly anticipated film, tentatively titled Mega 157. The filming began on Friday, May 23, in Hyderabad. Sources close to the project revealed that Anil Ravipudi had been eagerly waiting to direct his idol, Chiranjeevi. They also noted that the Telugu superstar was equally enthusiastic about working with the acclaimed director, known for his successive blockbusters. On Friday, the team started shooting important talkie scenes, with Chiranjeevi and others participating. Chiranjeevi is set to deliver both humour and charm in this film, marking an exciting return to comedy that his fans have been eagerly awaiting. According to sources, the film will perfectly blend humour with emotion, and action. The screenplay, carefully crafted by Ravipudi, aims to present Chiranjeevi in a new and dynamic role, combining laughter and emotional depth to connect with audiences of all ages. Interestingly, Chiranjeevi's character in the film is named Shankar Varaprasad, which is his real name. Produced by Sahu Garapati under the Shine Screens banner in collaboration with Sushmita Konidela's Gold Box Entertainments, and presented by Archana, the film is being created on a grand scale. While Sameer Reddy is handling cinematography, Bheems Ceciroleo is composing the music, and Tammiraju is in charge of editing. Writers S Krishna and G Adi Narayana have contributed to the script, with S Krishna also serving as the executive producer. AS Prakash is the production designer. The filmmakers are planning to release the movie for Sankranthi next year. Meanwhile, Megastar Chiranjeevi did not have any film releases in 2024, marking a hiatus in his illustrious career. Apart from tentatively titled Mega 157, the veteran actor will be seen in socio-fantasy action film, Vishwambhara.
