Popular Glasgow restaurant to open fourth venue in Hamilton
Santa Lucia Restaurant Group will launch its newest spot, Sofia by Santa Lucia, in the 'heart of Hamilton'.
The brand-new, elegant, and authentic Italian eatery will open in the town on August 28 on Almada Street in the former MIBBIES Aye.
The bosses of the venue said it will bring the 'soul of Italy to South Lanarkshire', while promising diners it would be an 'experience steeped in tradition, passion, and quality'.
It will join the family-owned group's several other restaurants, which include spots in Glasgow's Merchant City and West End.
The new restaurant will be led by head chef Michele and executive manager Giuseppe.

(Image: Supplied) Following the announcement, the head and executive chef, Michele, said: 'Sofia is more than just a restaurant, it's a tribute to the warm hospitality and timeless recipes found in the kitchens of Naples, Rome, and beyond."
Meanwhile, the general manager, Giuseppe, added: "We wanted to create a welcoming space, where locals in and around Hamilton can enjoy an authentic taste of Italy right on their doorstep."
