Noli Torre tops 5K in Leg 3 of Trilogy Run Asia
Jose Rizal University product Noli Torre topped the men's 5K race of the third Manila leg of Trilogy Run Asia held last Sunday at the Mall of Asia Complex. Torre clocked in 16 minutes and two seconds to rule the course, while Justwin Guerrero (17:08) and Brandon Aydlett (19:31) completed the podium. Lezamy Sanita (20:21), Shaira Mae Fantilaga (20:30, and Elleiot Abat (25:01) were the top three finishers of the women's 5k race. Arlan Arbios, meanwhile, ruled the men's 32K race with a time of one hour, 52 minutes, and 28 seconds, almost two minutes faster than runner-up Edsel Moral (1:54:35) and third placer Mark Anthony Oximar (2:09:46). Maricar Camacho, on the other hand, had two hours, 21 minutes, and 29 seconds to rule the women's 32K race, ahead of Eloisa Cusi (2:22:59) and April Rose Diaz (2:26:06). In the 21K race, Eduard Flores (1:13:27) and Jessa Mae Roda (1:36:42) finished first in the men's and women's division, respectively, while Vincent Arvin Avestruz (33:52) and Asia Paraase (40:11) ruled the 10K men's and women's races, respectively. Close finishes mark Trilogy Run Asia's second Manila leg
Podium finishes were decided by seconds or fractions of it in the second leg in Manila of the Sante Barley Trilogy Run Asia held last Sunday at the Mall of Asia complex. Richard Salaño led the 21K race of the men's division with an hour, nine minutes, and 44 seconds, while Eduard Flores finished just three seconds behind. Just seconds later, Edsel Moral placed third with 1 hour, ten minutes, and 29 seconds. In the 10K race, milliseconds determined the placement of James Darrel Orduña and Ricky Organiza, who finished first and second respectively, with both runners clocking in 32 minutes and eight seconds. Junel Gobotia, meanwhile, placed third with 32:29. For RUNRIO president and CEO Rio dela Cruz, he described this leg as 'one of the best,' especially with more people joining longer courses. Over 11,000 runners joined the third leg of the said race, around 5,000 of which joined 21K. 'One of the best runs ito. In the women's division, Erika Burgos logged 1:28:45 to top the 21k race, followed by Maricar Camacho (1:30:20) and April Rose Diaz (1:35:11). Edna Magtubo clocked 38:18 to top the women's 10K, followed by Kim Mangrobang (39:03) and Jessa Mae Roda (40:27). Noli Torre (15:42) and Shaira Mae Fantilaga (21:04) had the best times in the 5K race, followed by Vincent Arvin Avestruz (16:11) and Alfrence Braza (16:24) in the men's division, and Jo Punay (21:45) and Joneza Mie Sustiuedo (22:47) making the podium in the women's division. —JMB, GMA Integrated News
