' star Saoirse-Monica Jackson stunned in sensational snaps from her big day as she tied the knot with handsome DJ Denis Sulta. The Irish actress, 31, threw convention to the wind in leggy mini dress which boasted a corseted bodice and dramatic train. Saoirse paid tribute to the Glasgow born groom in a custom gown by Annie Doble of Annie's Ibiza, that featured a tartan under layer which she wore with a gorgeous veil and towering platforms. Meanwhile in the stylish snaps by StoryofEve, Denis, real name Hector Barbour, looked dapper in a traditional Scottish wedding kilt, complete with scarf and sporran. The couple, who went public their relationship in September 2021, tied the knot at Dromquinna Manor, in County Kerry, surrounded by family and friends. Monica's Derry Girls' co-star Jamie-Lee O'Donnell, 38, who played Michelle, served as bridesmaid and was brought to tears by her pal's gorgeous gown. Jamie-Lee was the epitome of elegance in a scooped necked green silk gown and larked about with the bride following the ceremony. The festivities saw Saoirse enjoying a pint of Guinness before taking to the dance floor and partying the night away with her new husband. Over the three day celebrations the bride wore a slew of stunning outfits, including a saucy sheer white lace dress. 'We wanted both of our cultures and our families and friends to be at the centre of it,' she told Vogue. Saoirse revealed how their big day had plenty of surprises thrown in, with her dad changing into a Darth Vader costume in the evening, a singer dressed Elphaba from Wicked and an an Irish storyteller. The couple became engaged in 2023 during a trip to the beach in Donegal, but didn't announce the news until almost a year later. Reflecting on the three-day event, Saoirse added: 'Dancing went well into the early hours, we were in bed at 4.30am, but some were out until 7am so there were a few sore heads the next day. 'Then we had buses pick everyone up and take them to a pub down the road, before we headed back and kept partying at the bar!' For her hen do, Saoirse enjoyed a weekend in Montreux, Switzerland with her friends and family. In photos shared to her Instagram last month, she wore an embellished cowboy hat with a tartan corset. Fans of Derry Girls were left in disbelief when they first realised who the sitcom's main star was dating. The Northern Irish actress and the DJ's relationship had not been one of common knowledge until a few years after they began dating. A tweet reading: 'There are some random celebrity couples out there but Denis Sulta and Erin from Derry girls takes the cake.' Saoirse went public with their romance by sharing two cosy snaps from a Scottish getaway at Monachyle Mhor Hotel in September 2021 And there were several stunned replies from those who were clueless to their romance. 'My head is gone. Why did i not know this,' one read. Meanwhile, another fan of the Channel 4 hit wrote: 'HOWWWW am I just finding this out wtf'. The 31-year-old, who plays schoolgirl Erin Quinn in the hit comedy, wore a cream dress with puff sleeves as she wed Hector Barbour, known as Denis Sulta, just outside of Kenmare in Co Kerry, according to British Vogue. Advertisement Derry Girls co-star Jamie-Lee O'Donnell wore a long green Rat & Boa dress and attended as one of the bridesmaids while Jackson was walked down the aisle by her father to a cover of the TV show's theme song Dreams by The Cranberries. Speaking to Vogue, Jackson said of the celebrations: 'Everybody said that the whole weekend was like something from a movie, and it really was. 'I want to do it again.' Jackson's dress transformed for the evening, which included shortening the skirt and reversing the corset to reveal a tartan side.
