The actress took to social media on August 4 to detail her ordeal, warning others in the entertainment and fashion industry to be cautious while dealing with event organisers. Khan, who rose to fame with her debut in Sapna Babul Ka… Bidaai, shared a video where she explained her version of events surrounding the August 2 fashion show she was invited to attend. Despite being a regular visitor to Delhi and having fond memories of the city, Khan said this trip was 'the most terrible experience" of her career, which spans nearly two decades. 'I've been working in this industry since almost 18 years and this is the most terrible experience of my life. I was supposed to attend the event on August 2 in Delhi, a city I've always loved and they have been so welcoming always. However, the organisers failed to provide the basic safety, hospitality and commitments they promised," she said in the video. 'The only arrangement was a car with a driver, which I found very unacceptable. When I refused to proceed, one of the organisers threatened my team members," she said, adding that she eventually had to arrange her own return travel for safety reasons. Without naming individuals, Khan called out the organisers for breaching trust and professionalism, and extended an apology to fans who were expecting her at the show. 'My safety was at risk and I had to prioritise that," she said. 'This experience was completely unacceptable and I'm speaking out to warn others in the industry." She urged other performers and professionals to stay alert and avoid placing complete trust in verbal commitments alone. She also acknowledged her own misjudgment in taking the organiser's assurances at face value, reflecting that such experiences are critical for regret for missing the event and disappointing fans, Sara reiterated that her safety had to come first under such dire circumstances. She stated that she was sharing her story not out of anger but as a protective gesture toward her peers in the industry.
