Who is Rukmini Vasanth? Kantara Chapter 1 star has something in common with Rashmika Mandanna
Rukmini Vasanth will be seen alongside Rishab Shetty in Kantara Chapter 1, one of the biggest films of the year. Her first look from the action drama was revealed on August 8 and it has created a great deal of buzz among fans. Rukmini, who began her acting career with the Kannada crime thriller Birbal (2019), is one of the brightest stars in Sandalwood. She has also tried her luck in Tamil and Telugu cinema. Interestingly, Rukmini Vasanth has something in common with Rashmika Mandanna, one of South cinema's most bankable names.

Kantara Chapter 1 star Rukmini Vasanth has a connection with Rashmika Mandanna
Rukmini was born in 1996 in Bengaluru to Colonel Vasanth Venugopal. She rose to fame with her work in Sapta Saagaradaache Ello: Side A (2023), which received positive reviews and earned Rs 21 crore at the box office. It saw her act alongside Rakshit Shetty. The story centred on the love story of a car driver and a talented college student. Sapta Saagaradaache Ello: Side A clicked with the audience with its engaging presentation.
Interestingly, Rakshit also played a key role in helping Rashmika Mandanna find a foothold in the industry. The 'Kodava Beauty' was paired opposite him in Kirik Party (2016), which marked her debut. The film captured the magic of campus life and attained cult status. Fans have been waiting for its sequel for a while. Kirik Party, much like Saagaradaache Ello: Side A, did well at the box office. Shot on a budget of Rs 4 crore, it earned Rs 50 crore in its full run.

About Kantara Chapter 1
Kantara (2022) was an action drama directed by Rishab Shetty. It also featured him as Shiva a carefree and arrogant man who clashes with a no-nonsense for sacred land. It explored the concept of Bhuta Kola, a spiritual dance. Kantara Chapter 1 is set to further explore this world. It is set during the reign of the Kadambas, a royal family.
Kantara Chapter 1 is produced under the Hombale Films banner. B. Ajaneesh Loknath is the music director. Kantara Chapter 1 is set to hit the screens this October.
