2 armed men loots over 61L from ATM van in Chhatarpur

Bhopal: In a daring daylight heist, two armed men looted over Rs 61 lakh from an ATM cash van in Gaurihar area of Chhatarpur district on Friday. According to police, Manish Kumar, a Mahoba resident, was transporting cash in a van for loading at Sarabai ATM when two bike-borne assailants intercepted the vehicle at Chithari Tiraha. At gunpoint, the duo fled with Rs 61.17 lakh kept inside the vehicle. The cash was being moved from a bank in Uttar Pradesh to Madhya Pradesh when the incident occurred at the border stretch. Chhatarpur police said that the agency was carrying the cash without any security cover. Police claim to have received some leads and they would crack the case soon. Blockades have been set up in the region with help from Mahoba and nearby police stations.
