Police probe alleged hit-and-run near Taman Sri Perkasa in Matang
A screengrab from the video posted on Sarawak Roads Update shows the sedan involved in the collision. KUCHING (Aug 10): Police are investigating an alleged hit-and-run involving several vehicles near Taman Sri Perkasa in Matang here, which occurred at around 12.30pm yesterday. Padawan district police chief Supt Mohd Irwan Hafiz Md Radzi confirmed the incident when contacted. 'We've received the report yesterday. The case is being investigated under Section 279 of the Penal Code for reckless driving,' he said. A dashcam video taken from the rear of a vehicle, and posted on the Sarawak Roads Update page, shows a sedan crashing into a car, which then collided with the dashcam-equipped vehicle. The sedan came to a stop, while several bystanders could be seen surrounding it. Some were heard shouting and ordering the driver to get out of the car.
