NEET PG 2025: Aspirants Claim Error In City Slip, Says Details Only 'Sent About The State'

Last Updated: NEET PG 2025: Instead of showing the name of the city of the examination centre, several candidates claim that they have only received the name of the state. The National Board of Medical Examination (NBEMS) has released the city information slip for NEET PG 2025, but a major error has caused confusion among the candidates, leading to an uproar. Many candidates have expressed their objections on social media regarding the city slip. Instead of showing the name of the city of the examination centre, several candidates claim that they have only received the name of the state, which has left them upset. The purpose of the city slip is to inform candidates about the city of their examination centre so they can plan their preparation and travel. However, many candidates have received state names like Gujarat, Rajasthan, or Maharashtra instead of cities. This mistake has not only caused confusion but candidates have also raised questions about the functioning of NBEMS. Some candidates claim they have been allotted examination centers up to 700 km from their homes, adding to their frustration. Some of the aspirants have expressed their disappointment on social media. One candidate shared a screenshot of the city slip on X, stating that NBEMS has mentioned Gujarat as their exam city and questioned why they don't know it is a state. Another sarcastically congratulated NBEMS for making Rajasthan their exam city. A student from Maharashtra posted on X about the mess in the NEET PG 2025 city slip, highlighting that the state name was given instead of the city. NBEMS always manages to surprise us. Many candidates have demanded immediate clarification and correction from the board. Candidates have urged NBEMS to correct this error as soon as possible and provide accurate information. If they wanted to allocate random city centers why did they even give us the choice of choosing one. #NEETPG #NEETPG2025 I had given the option of Aurangabad and they alloted me Sangli. NBEMS has not issued any official statement on the matter. This mistake has caused inconvenience to the candidates and raised questions about the credibility of an important exam like NEET PG. Candidates have demanded NBEMS rectify this error promptly and provide accurate information. With the exam date approaching, candidates do not want such mistakes to affect their preparation. view comments First Published: July 22, 2025, 16:31 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. MDMK chief Vaiko's once trusted lieutenant breaks silence: "I prefer poison to be called traitor"

Chennai, Sidelined MDMK leader Mallai Sathya, once a trusted lieutenant of the party chief Vaiko, has opined that he preferred a bottle of poison rather than being called a 'traitor' by his party leader on whom he had immense trust. MDMK chief Vaiko's once trusted lieutenant breaks silence: "I prefer poison to be called traitor" No other loyal worker should be humiliated with such "unfounded accusations" and it does not befit Vaiko's stature in public life, he claimed. "I have been working for the MDMK with a sense of commitment to its ideology. I am not the reason for the unusual developments in the party," Sathya said, accusing Vaiko of deliberately attempting to finish his political career. In a strongly worded statement on Monday, titled "Breaking my silence," he said the party leader could have cited some other reason. "But to sacrifice my honest political life for the sake of your son and call it 'betrayal' - that word from you wounds me deeply," he said. "He could have told me something else or could have asked me to take a bottle of poison and die. I would have died. Instead, he made a remark that has left a deep scar in me," he said. On July 10, Vaiko accused the party's Deputy General Secretary, Mallai C E Sathya, of indulging in anti-party activities for two years. 'He has close ties with those who left the party and criticise me. There are four people posting against me on social media, and they are living abroad. Mallai Sathya provides them the content," Vaiko told reporters at the airport here. Sathya, who was with Vaiko for three decades, said he was anguished over being said he betrayed Vaiko like LTTE leader Prabhakaran was backstabbed by Mathaiya. It was unfair to equate his political differences with an act of treachery, he added. Vaiko ensured a truce between his son Durai Vaiko, who is the party's principal secretary, and Sathya following differences over Durai's elevation in the party in April. But trouble arose in the MDMK when Sathya's name and photo did not figure in the banners of the party's meeting at Poonamallee here on July 10. Breaking down in a televised interview to a Tamil news channel - Puthiya Thalaimurai on July 14, Sathya said "it has been five days since I slept. I am worried about society's perception. But I will come through all of this. Vaiko has raised me like a warrior. I will prove my genuineness to the public." He further said, "I will come out of the fire ring. As a leader, he might have made a mistake but as a father he has done the right thing for his son, which I understand. I wish him success in politics. …I will march forward with my goals and aspirations." This article was generated from an automated news agency feed without modifications to text.

MDMK's Mallai Sathya breaks silence, hits back at Vaiko

CHENNAI: MDMK deputy general secretary Mallai Sathya on Monday broke his silence in response to the allegations levelled against him by party general secretary Vaiko. In a strongly worded post titled 'Breaking My Silence' on Facebook, Sathya expressed deep anguish over what he called an unjust character assassination. 'I have been working for the MDMK with a sense of commitment to its ideology. I am not the reason for the unusual developments in the party,' he wrote. He accused Vaiko of deliberately trying to end his political career. 'The esteemed leader, celebrated for his moral stature, could have cited any other reason. But to sacrifice my honest political life for the sake of your son and call it 'betrayal' — that word from you wounds me deeply,' Sathya said. He further urged that no other loyal worker should be subjected to such unfounded accusations. 'It does not befit your stature in public life,' he added. Despite the setback, Sathya vowed to continue his service to the Tamil cause, including promoting Tamil language and rights, organising youth welfare initiatives and martial arts training programmes. 'I will remain a foot soldier for the Dravidian cause,' he concluded.
