Roma's Saud Abdulhamid linked with Ligue 1 move
A year after making the move to Europe for the first time, Saud Abdulhamid (25) could be set for a move to Ligue 1 during the summer transfer window, according to a report from Foot Mercato. Abdulhamid, until last summer, had spent the entirety of his career in his native Saudi Arabia. He then signed for AS Roma, amid interest from two Ligue 1 clubs: Stade de Reims and Toulouse FC. However, in the Italian capital, Abdulhamid has found gametime limited, making just six appearances in all competitions. However, he did make history in becoming the first Saudi Arabian player to score in European competition, netting in a UEFA Europa League game against Braga. Advertisement With opportunities for gametime at Roma limited, the right-back could be on the move again this summer. As per Foot Mercato, Abdulhamid is garnering significant interest from Ligue 1 sides. It is not specified whether Reims or Toulouse have retained the interest that they showed last summer.
