Sand & Fun 2025: Breathtaking Airshows to Dazzle Riyadh in November

The Saudi Aviation Club (SAC) has unveiled the plans and airshow programs for the Sand & Fun exhibition set to take place in November, according to Arab News. SAC's Founder and Chairman, Prince Sultan bin Salman, described the exhibition as a national platform boasting aerial entertainment, education, as well as interactive experiences. Interestingly, the 2025 edition will mark the 25th anniversary of the Saudi Aviation Club. Set to take place from Nov. 25 to 29 at Al-Thumamah Airport in Riyadh, the exhibition will feature live day and night airshows, innovative pavilions and youth and children's zones. With a bold goal to bolster local and international aviation cooperation, the event will host several investor platforms. Photos from Sand & Fun 2024 In order to ensure the exhibition's success, Prince Sultan urged for boosting national partnerships and engagement with education, training, entertainment, as well as technology sectors. Established under the Council of Ministers Resolution issued on December 4, 2000, the Saudi Aviation Club supports various sports activities such as general aviation, sports aviation, paramotoring, and model aircraft. SAC also encourages talents through numerous educational and entertaining events. RIYADH: Prince Sultan bin Salman, founder and chairman of the Saudi Aviation Club, chaired a meeting attended by Ahmed Al-Fahaid, the club's general supervisor, where the executive plans and airshow programs for the Sand & Fun exhibition were approved. Prince Sultan said the Sand & Fun exhibition is a national platform combining aerial entertainment, education, and interactive experiences. The event supports the Kingdom's role as a regional and global hub for general aviation, aligned with Vision 2030 goals in tourism, education, and local content development, he added. This year's edition is special as it marks the 25th anniversary of the Saudi Aviation Club, highlighting the sector's growth since its founding. The exhibition will be held from Nov. 25 to 29 at Al-Thumamah Airport in Riyadh. It will include live day and night airshows, youth and children's zones, innovation pavilions, and investor platforms, aiming to boost local and international aviation collaboration. Prince Sultan called for stronger national partnerships and engagement with education, training, entertainment, and technology sectors to ensure the event's success. The exhibition demonstrates Saudi Arabia's organizational capabilities and opens new opportunities for future generations in aviation. Djibouti ambassador praises deep ties between African state and Saudi Arabia

RIYADH: The Djibouti Embassy in Riyadh donned patriotic colors as its staff celebrated their national day on Wednesday night, hosting a befitting reception to mark the occasion. On the occasion of the 48th anniversary of the National Independence of Djibouti, Dya-Eddine Said Bamakhrama, ambassador of the Republic of Djibouti to Saudi Arabia and the dean of the Diplomatic Corps, hosted an official reception at the Cultural Palace in the Diplomatic Quarter. The event was attended by Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, deputy governor of Riyadh Region, as guest of honor and patron, and Prince Sultan bin Salman, the founder and chairman of the Saudi Aviation Club. The reception was also attended by numerous princes, ambassadors, distinguished business leaders, media professionals, artists, and members of the Saudi and Djibouti community. Addressing the gathering the ambassador highlighted Djibouti's remarkable achievements over the past five decades, particularly in terms of security, stability, and sustainable development. He also emphasized the deep and sincere fraternal relations that unite the leaderships and people of the two nations. Furthermore, the ambassador reaffirmed Djibouti's firm and unwavering position in support of the Palestinian cause, advocating for the restoration of the Palestinian people's legitimate rights, including the establishment of an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital. Saudi Arabia also strongly supports the two-state solution as the path to resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Palestine is officially recognized by 147 of the UN's 193 member states and has observer status at the UN. The ambassador also reiterated Djibouti's commitment to a calm, constructive, and principled diplomacy, actively working to promote peace in the region and around the world, rejecting wars and advocating for dialogue, peaceful coexistence, and sustainable development.
