6,000 Qur'an copies distributed at Tunisia Book Fair
RIYADH: The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance has distributed more than 6,000 copies of the Qur'an to visitors at the 39th Tunisia International Book Fair. The distribution began when the fair started on April 25, the Saudi Press Agency reported. The fair will run until May 4. At the Kingdom's pavilion, visitors can browse an extensive collection from the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Qur'an, including translations of Qur'anic meanings and editions in different narrations and formats. Visitors to the pavilion can also experience a range of interactive electronic applications that provide educational content and religious services. Among the highlights are a 3D Hajj and Umrah application, a correct citation application, and virtual reality experiences that offer immersive tours of the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah. The ministry's participation underscores Saudi Arabia's commitment to serve the Qur'an and support Islam and Muslims worldwide.

The fifth edition of the Jusoor Exhibition, organized by the Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance in Jakarta, Indonesia, recorded a remarkable turnout on its third day, attracting more than 150,000 visitors, reported the Saudi Press Agency on Saturday. Visitors expressed admiration for the exhibition's detailed models of the Grand Mosque of Makkah and the Prophet's Mosque of Madinah, crafted with high precision to capture the landmarks' intricate features. The use of virtual reality technology, which offered visitors an immersive experience of the two holy mosques, proved particularly popular, drawing widespread engagement across all age groups and boosting the exhibition's reach within Indonesian society. Visitors commended the initiative to distribute thousands of daily copies of the Holy Quran with Indonesian translations, courtesy of the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Quran in Madinah. The fifth Jusoor Exhibition reflects Saudi Arabia's ongoing efforts to foster cultural and civilizational dialogue, emphasizing its mission to serve the two holy mosques and promote the values of moderation and balance.

Saudi exhibition takes Indonesians on virtual tour of Islamic heritage
JAKARTA: A week-long Saudi exhibition opened in Jakarta on Thursday, offering Indonesian visitors virtual tours of the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah, as well as a display of the features of the Holy Kaaba. Organized by Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Islamic Affairs and Indonesia's Ministry of Religious Affairs, the display, titled 'Jusoor' or bridges, is being held at the Istiqlal Mosque complex in Jakarta. The event is free to the public and will run until May 3. It was inaugurated by Indonesia's Religious Affairs Minister Nasaruddin Umar and Saudi Arabia's Islamic Affairs Undersecretary Dr. Awwad bin Sabti Al-Anzi. 'This exhibition symbolizes the strengthening of cultural and diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Saudi Arabia, while also serving as a platform to introduce the rich history and civilization of Islam to the general public,' Umar said on social media. 'Through the collection of artifacts, ancient manuscripts, and interactive multimedia installations, (it) invites visitors to explore the Islamic world's contribution to science, art and culture across time.' Aside from the virtual tours of the two holy mosques, the Saudi exhibition in Jakarta features their scale models and photos of the Kaaba. Designed to be educational and child-friendly, it also invites visitors to explore the printing of the Qur'an, view rare manuscripts, learn about Arabic calligraphy, and to taste qahwa — the traditional Arabic coffee. Organizers are aiming to attract 1 million visitors. 'The exhibition, which aims to attract 1 million visitors, embodies the Kingdom's efforts to spread moderation, serve the Holy Qur'an, and strengthen bridges of cultural and human communication between peoples,' the Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs said in a statement on X. According to Ahmad Zayadi, information director of Islamic affairs at Indonesia's Religious Affairs Ministry, the event showcases Saudi Arabia's role in world culture and history. '(The Kingdom's) standing in the Islamic world makes it a center of civilization that is inseparable from mankind's history and cultural development,' Zayadi said. 'We are showing the world that religion and culture are not just legacies of the past, but a strategic foundation to build future civilizations.'

Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs organizes iftar banquets in 61 countries, benefiting thousands
RIYADH: Daily iftar banquets organized by the Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call, and Guidance during the first half of Ramadan have benefited thousands in 61 countries, including Sudan, Tanzania, the Philippines, and Argentina. In Sudan, the ministry's initiative has served iftar meals to 15,000 people across Sudan's cities and regions and will reach 30,000 people by the end of Ramadan, which concludes in late March. These banquets are part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Iftar Program, which is being carried out in 61 countries worldwide during Ramadan. The program endorses unity and compassion among Muslim societies, while strengthening brotherhood and solidarity during Ramadan, a month of worship when Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset. In Tanzania, 2,000 people have benefited from the iftar program during the first half of Ramadan, with the number expected to reach 4,500 next week, the Saudi Press Agency reported. The ministry organized iftar banquets in South America, where more than 7,500 people in mosques and centers across Argentina benefited from the program. This week, the religious attache at the Saudi Embassy in the Philippines organized an iftar meal in Manila, which was attended by several heads of Islamic associations in the country.
