
6,000 Qur'an copies distributed at Tunisia Book Fair
RIYADH: The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance has distributed more than 6,000 copies of the Qur'an to visitors at the 39th Tunisia International Book Fair.
The distribution began when the fair started on April 25, the Saudi Press Agency reported. The fair will run until May 4.
At the Kingdom's pavilion, visitors can browse an extensive collection from the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Qur'an, including translations of Qur'anic meanings and editions in different narrations and formats.
Visitors to the pavilion can also experience a range of interactive electronic applications that provide educational content and religious services.
Among the highlights are a 3D Hajj and Umrah application, a correct citation application, and virtual reality experiences that offer immersive tours of the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah.
The ministry's participation underscores Saudi Arabia's commitment to serve the Qur'an and support Islam and Muslims worldwide.

Saudi authorities launch self-help e-book to guide Hajj pilgrims to perform rituals correctly
MAKKAH: Saudi authorities have launched a self-help e-book in various languages to guide and teach pilgrims about Hajj and Umrah rituals in order to perform them in accordance with Islamic rules. The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance said the smart rituals guide is available in various locations in Makkah and Madinah, and other holy sites. Pilgrims can use their smartphones to tap on a download point, select their preferred language, and upload the guide to their devices, the ministry added. The initiative is part of several educational programs launched in the past weeks by the ministry to help over 1.25 million pilgrims currently undertaking Hajj perform their once-in-a-lifetime pilgrimage correctly. Saudi authorities, including health, logistical, and security sectors, have deployed cutting-edge technologies for this Hajj season, including drones to deliver medicines and artificial intelligence to safeguard and serve Muslim pilgrims.

Namirah Mosque Ready for Hajj's Arafat Day with Major Upgrades
The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance has completed extensive preparations at Namirah Mosque in Arafat, ensuring it is fully ready to welcome Hajj pilgrims on the day of Arafat, which falls on Thursday. The mosque has been furnished with 125,000 square meters of luxurious carpets. Significant development projects have been implemented to improve the comfort of pilgrims. The backyard now features 19 canopies that reduce heat stress by an average of 10 degrees Celsius, complemented by sun-reflecting floor paint. The surrounding courtyards are also prepared and cooled with 117 fog fans, lowering temperatures by an average of 9 degrees Celsius. A major ventilation and air conditioning upgrade includes a new control system that monitors carbon dioxide levels and operates air purification units, allowing for 100% air renewal every 30 minutes. This system also controls water pumps, boosting operational efficiency and providing a healthier environment for pilgrims. For hydration, 70 water chillers have been installed, each capable of serving 2,000 pilgrims per hour, totaling a capacity of 140,000 pilgrims per hour. An advanced audio system and security surveillance cameras have also been integrated to boost safety and security. Furthermore, the mosque's 72 gates and entrances have been strategically organized to ensure a smooth flow of pilgrims. These extensive tasks were carried out by dedicated supervisory and service teams committed to providing the best services to pilgrims.
