Eid Al Fitr 2025: Hot Temperatures And Rain Forecasted In Saudi Arabia
A rather hot daytime temperature is expected across most of Saudi Arabia during this week's Eid Al Fitr, according to the kingdom's meteorological authorities. From Sunday (tomorrow) until Wednesday, when Eid is expected, maximum temperatures will range from 30 to 38 degrees Celsius, according to the Saudi National Centre for Meteorology (NCM). Moderate conditions are anticipated in the kingdom's southwestern heights and parts of the northern regions, with temperatures ranging from 25 to 29 degrees Celsius. At night, most areas will experience moderate conditions, with minimum temperatures ranging from 20 to 25 degrees Celsius. However, it could be cold in the north and in the southwestern heights, with temperatures between 11 and 14 degrees Celsius. The NCM also forecasts moderate to heavy thunderstorms accompanied by hail showers in parts of Tabuk, Al Jawf, the Northern Borders, Medina, Ha'il, Al Qassim, the northern parts of the Eastern Province, and the western areas of Riyadh, as well as in the heights of Asir, Al Baha, Jazan, and Mecca. Meanwhile, dust-raising active winds are expected during the day in the regions of Mecca, Medina, Tabuk, Al Jawf, the Northern Borders, Ha'il, Al Qassim, Riyadh, and the northern parts of the Eastern Province. The Eid Al Fitr holiday, marking the end of the Islamic sacred month of Ramadan, is a peak travel season.

Cold Snap Expected To Hit Saudi Arabia Next Week
A cold wave is expected next week in several parts of Saudi Arabia, according to a weather forecaster. Weather analyst at the Saudi National Centre for Meteorology (NCM) Aqil Al Aqil, has anticipated a drop in temperatures next week in several Saudi regions. Starting on Saturday, there will be a noticeable activity of winds in the north-western region of Tabuk, the Northern Borders, and Al Jawf in the north, he told Saudi television Al Ekhbariya. These winds will stretch to affect the Eastern Province for the rest of the week. This weather condition will be accompanied by a significant drop in temperatures starting from Sunday and Monday, likely to peak on Tuesday and Wednesday in the northern, north-western, eastern, and central regions of the kingdom, according to the expert. Temperatures may dip below zero degrees Celsius, especially in the northern areas of the kingdom. Al Aqil said temperatures may range between zero and two degrees Celsius in the Riyadh region. NCM has forecast moderate thunderstorms accompanied by hail and active winds on Thursday in Riyadh and the Eastern Province. The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has advised farmers to take preventive measures to protect crops from cold waves and frost that may affect some areas, especially Riyadh, the Eastern Province, Qassim, Ha'il, and the Northern Borders. To avoid losses, peasants are recommended to protect crops from cold and strong winds with plastic covers and support little trees to avoid them breaking due to gusty winds.

Ramadan 2025: Saudi Arabia Predicts Spring's Onset, Moderate Weather
A weather analyst at the Saudi National Centre for Meteorology stated that Ramadan 2025 will coincide with the start of spring and moderate weather, Gulf News reported. Meteorologist Aqil Al Aqil has forecasted moderate weather during Ramadan this year. Al Aqil told the Saudi-owned television Rotana Khalijia that the spring weather is expected to be cold at the beginning, notably in the Kingdom's Northern Regions. Meanwhile, the remaining regions may experience moderate weather. Set to start this year on March 1, Ramadan marks the ninth month of the lunar Islamic calendar. During this special month, Muslims around the world flock to the Grand Mosque to perform prayers and Umrah.
