Saudi Arabia Secures 23 Awards at ISEF 2025

The Saudi Science and Engineering Team has exceled at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF 2025), winning 23 awards, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). Held in Columbus, Ohio, from May 10-16, 2025, ISEF 2025 saw the participation on 1,700 students from 70 countries. Saudi Team at ISEF 2025 The Saudi national team comprised 40 students who participated with outstanding projects in promising scientific fields. They won a total of 23 awards, including 14 grand awards and 9 special awards. The grand awards won by the Saudi team at ISEF 2025 included 3 in the second place; 5 in the third place; and 6 in the fourth place. Impressive Track Record Saudi Arabia's participation in ISEF is supported by the Saudi Ministry of Education and the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba). Since 2007, the Kingdom has been an active participant in ISEF, the largest global competitive scientific forum for high school students in the fields of science and engineering. With the outstanding accomplishment in the latest edition, Saudi Arabia's record at ISEF has reached 183 awards, including 124 grand awards and 59 special awards. Prestigious Awards At ISEF 2025, Saudi students showed unparalleled skills and talent in various scientific disciplines. The second place went to three Saudi students: Maryam Al-Muhaysh (energy), and Areej Al-Qarni and Jiwan Shaabi (environmental engineering). The special awards went to Fatima Al-Arfaj (chemistry), Areej Al-Qarni and Saleh Al-Angari (environmental engineering), Abdulrahman Al-Ghannam (material sciences), and Sama Bukhamseen (embedded systems). Saudi Science and Engineering Team Heads to US for ISEF 2025

The Saudi Science and Engineering Team will travel to Ohio, the US, on Friday to participate in the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF 2025), reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). Running from May 10-16, 2025, ISEF 2025 will see the participation of 1,700 students from 70 countries. The Saudi Science and Engineering Team will include 40 students, selected from more than 291,000 participants in the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity 'Ibdaa,' with 23,000 research projects across 22 scientific fields. Saudi Arabia's participation in ISEF is supported by the Saudi Ministry of Education and the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba). Since 2007, the Kingdom has been an active participant in ISEF, the largest global competitive scientific forum for high school students in the fields of science and engineering. In the previous editions of ISEF, Saudi students secured 160 awards, including 110 grand awards and 50 special awards. At ISEF 2024, the Saudi Science and Engineering Team claimed 27 awards, including 18 grand awards and 9 special awards. Students participating in ISEF undergo an intensive training and preparation process through Mawhiba programs to enhance their scientific and research skills and qualify them for participation. Saudi students qualify for science, engineering fair in US

DAMMAM: Nine students from Eastern Province schools have secured their place on the Saudi Science and Engineering Team at the prestigious International Science and Engineering Fair in the US, the Saudi Press Agency has reported. The students, whose qualification followed a rigorous national competition in Riyadh, were selected after they impressed in the four-stage process. Their journey involved project submissions, electronic arbitration, and regional exhibitions before they earned their place at the final Kingdom-level event. Sami Al-Otaibi, director general of education in the Eastern Province, hailed the achievement as testament to Saudi Arabia's ongoing investment in its youth and education sector. He added that the students' success reflected the unwavering support of the Saudi leadership in empowering students to contribute to the Kingdom's ambitious Vision 2030 reform program.
