It also sought to introduce major national initiatives supporting women across public, private, and nonprofit sectors; promote the exchange of expertise and best practices; and explore innovative solutions to enhance women's participation in decision-making processes.
The program featured five panel discussions that reaffirmed the importance of women's contributions to achieving the sustainable development goals.
On the sidelines of the conference, an accompanying exhibition featured more than 25 organizations involved in women's empowerment.
