Scottish Ambulance Service to hold free CPR training
People are being encouraged to attend a free 20-minute online CPR and defibrillator training session on Wednesday, October 1 as part of the Restart a Heart Live event.
Restart a Heart Live is hosted by the Scottish Ambulance Service in collaboration with Save a Life for Scotland, Save a Life Cymru, Resuscitation Council UK, and the Association of Ambulance Chief Executives.

The event includes sessions for primary and secondary school children in the morning, with additional sessions for the general public in the afternoon and evening.
No equipment or prior experience is required to take part.
Lee Myers, paramedic clinical team leader at the Scottish Ambulance Service, said: "Almost 4000 people in Scotland have an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest every year.
"If that person doesn't receive CPR, the likelihood of them surviving drops by 10 per cent for every minute CPR isn't administered.
"We want to empower the public to be confident in their CPR skills and help build a nation of lifesavers."

Last year, the event broke a Guinness World Record with more than 5000 members of the public taking part.
Organisers are now aiming to train one million people across the UK in hands-only CPR and defibrillator use by 2027.
Lee added: "Join us on Wednesday, October 1, to support your community and become one of a million lifesavers."
