'Coolie' 3rd single 'Powerhouse' OUT; Rajinikanth's aura steals the show; Anirudh drops 'Breaking Bad' reference

Sung and composed by Anirudh Ravichander, the song features rapper Arivu's fiery lyrics and a punchy 'Breaking Bad' reference that's already got fans buzzing. In a nod to Heisenberg from the hit series, the line 'Say My Name… You're Goddamn Right' finds its way into the soundtrack . 'Coolie' gears up for a star-studded release Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, 'Coolie' stars Rajinikanth as Deva — an aging gangster plotting a massive comeback by targeting illegal tech trade operations. With actors Nagarjuna Akkineni and Upendra Rao supporting, and a special cameo by Aamir Khan, the film boasts a stacked cast. Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, Soubin Shahir, and Pooja Hegde (in a dance number) also feature in key roles. The teaser is set to drop on August 2, 2025, while the film hits theatres on August 14. Meanwhile, Rajinikanth is also busy with 'Jailer 2', a sequel to the 2023 hit Jailer. Helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the film sees the superstar return as a former jailer seeking vengeance for his son. Rajinikanth's previous outing was 'Vettaiyan'.
