Speeding away from a bar netted Barrie police a cache of cash and drugs

Barrie police laid a slew of criminal charges against a Scarborough man Saturday.
An officer saw a driver pull out of a bar parking lot in a dangerous manner, so he stopped the car.
Barrie police said the driver 'exhibited signs of impairment' and he blew a fail on a breathalyzer.
The driver was taken into custody and before the car was towed away, a quick search of the car disclosed a large quantity of suspected Oxycodone (pill form), cocaine and methamphetamine.
Police also seized more than $7,000 in Canadian currency.
The driver was taken to Barrie police headquarters where a qualified breathalyzer operator confirmed that he was impaired by alcohol.
As a result of the investigation, a 55-year-old Scarborough man was charged with:
Two operation of a motor vehicle while impaired offences
Four counts of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
Possession of cocaine, Oxycodone and methamphetamine
Possession of Oxycodone of the purpose of trafficking
Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking
He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Barrie on August 13.
The involved vehicle has been impounded for seven days, and his driver's licence has been suspended for 90 days.
