Forget Test Match, Desi's Roast Rajeev Shukla Over His Gift For King Charles

Rajeev Shukla gave King Charles his book, Scars of 1947: Real Partition Stories, as a gift, but fans quickly turned the post into jokes and memes.
The Indian cricket team, currently in London after their match at Lord's, recently had a special meeting with King Charles. While many famous faces were there, it was Rajeev Shukla, the vice president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), who grabbed the spotlight. Shukla gave King Charles his book, Scars of 1947: Real Partition Stories, as a gift and shared the moment on social media.
This caught a lot of attention online, as fans quickly turned the post into jokes and memes. Many even asked Shukla to bring back the Kohinoor diamond. Others made fun of his choice of gift for the British king.
After the last test at Lord's, the cricket team visited Clarence House. Along with the players and coaching staff, BCCI Honorary Secretary Devajit Saikia was also present. Sharing a picture with the member of the Royal Family on X (Formerly Twitter), Shukla wrote, 'Presented my book Scars of 1947 to King Charles at St James Palace, his house. He took a lot of interest in the content of the book."

Another shared, 'Sir, I strongly believe only you can get our Kohinoor back."
'Gifting a book to the king of Britain on the scars given by the Britishers to the Indians, damn shukla ji," a comment read.
An individual stated, 'Sir, you could have asked for those USD 45 trillion of looted money back from the King or at least the stolen art pieces and kept in the Tower of London Museum. And then posted his reaction on X."
Another mentioned, 'Chad Shukla ji. Gave a gora a book about the atrocities done by their forefathers."
One more added, 'Wherever it is, Rajiv Shukla is Certain to be there. What kind of magic he knows that he can manage to be everywhere."
For those not aware, Rajeev Shukla is the current vice president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Before stepping into the cricket world, he began his journey as a journalist. In the year 2000, he entered politics and slowly became an important name in the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association. He was also the Chairman of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2011. Later, in 2020, he took the role of BCCI vice president.
