Mar 26, 2025 Famed electronic music project Mayan Warrior has just revealed the full lineup for their upcoming Egypt debut, presented by Egypt's events giant Human Figures on the sandy shores of El Gouna, Red Sea on April 11th. Featured on the bill are some of the most prolific DJs and producers from across the globe, including Denis Sulta, Folamour, Gerd Janson, Maria Nocheydia and Ramy Mishriky. Mayan Warrior is the art cart brainchild of a group of artists, craftsmen and musicians from Mexico City and North California, which has quickly built up a revered reputation for putting together wild visual and auditory experiences that pay homage to Mexico's clubbing culture. Rotana Ordered to Pay EGP 2 Million Compensation to Sherine Abdelwahab
Sherine emphasized that she fully honoured her contractual obligations and had all songs ready for release. Mar 25, 2025 Rotana Ordered to Pay EGP two Million to Sherine Abdel-Wahab for Deleting Her Songs The Cairo Economic Court has ruled that Rotana must compensate Egyptian singer Sherine Abdel-Wahab with EGP two million for damages caused by the removal of two of her songs from YouTube and social media platforms. In a televised statement, Sherine explained that her contract with Rotana covered the production of 12 songs. While the second album was agreed upon by both parties, its release was not mandatory, nor was there a requirement for the album to be launched all at once. Instead, the company opted to release the songs as singles. She emphasized that she fully honoured her contractual obligations and had all songs ready for release. Despite this, Rotana allegedly sought to monopolize her live performances and refused to accept her songs to maintain control over her concert bookings—despite no contractual clause granting the company a share of her live performance revenues. In September 2024, amid her copyright battle with Rotana, Sherine made history as the first Arab artist to upload an entire album to WeTransfer, allowing fans to access it directly. The move was widely seen as a bold stand against restrictive music industry contracts. Sandbox Festival Announce 2nd Wave Line-Up May 8th-10th
Zuli, Fulltone, Gharam Electric, Zeina and more were added to the bill. Mar 05, 2025 Egypt's Sandbox Festival, one of the region's longest-running dance music festivals has just announced the second wave of lineup for its 2025 edition, taking place in El Gouna, Red Sea, from May 8th to May 10th. A roster of regional electronic pioneers and trailblazers was added to the bill including Zuli, Fulltone, Gharam Electric, Hisham Zahran, Zone+, Zeina, Hashem, Baloo, Tito, Misty, Moenes and Jess b2b Aly Goede, just to name a few. Organized by events giant Nacelle, the three-day annual festival will also feature Megatronic, Ricardo Villalobos, Joëlla Jackson, Nesta, me, Sama' Abdulhadi, Anotr, and many more, who were revealed the in first wave of the lineup.
