New Millennium School marks Science and Computer Science Week with hands-on learning

The New Millennium School in Bahrain observed Science and Computer Science Week from 11 to 15 May 2025, engaging students in a variety of interactive activities to explore the role of science and technology in everyday life and the future.
Students participated in experiments and showcased models demonstrating concepts such as balloon-powered cars, the human heart and lungs, periscopes, infinity mirrors, burglar alarms, satellite communication systems, and solar ovens.

The activities encouraged observation, analysis, and application of scientific principles.
Campaigns were also held to raise awareness about cyber safety, electricity conservation, sustainable development, and food wastage. Special assemblies and Inter-House Quiz competitions were conducted for students from Grades III to XII. An in-house exhibition featured student projects, while others designed mobile applications and created animated stories focused on the Sustainable Development Goals.
The week focused on promoting experiential, activity-based learning as a foundation for understanding scientific and technological advancements.
