Scooby-Doo van pet charities fundraiser ahead of sale

Now the campervan, painted to look like TV and film's Scooby-Doo Mystery Machine, is set to go up for sale. It is hoped that as a farewell and thank you, some money can be raised in support of local animal charities. The famous blue and green hippy van, featuring the Mystery Inc. gang characters, has attracted quite a lot of attention during its stay. Amanda even had a group in full Scooby gang fancy dress on their way to a party, ask if they could take photos with the Mystery Machine. Now Amanda is putting the van up for sale on behalf of friend and owner, Hayley Maxwell-Keys, who has had it for several years. In a post on social media, she said: "Scooby-Doo will soon be finding a new home, and we'll miss the joy and laughter he's brought to so many people as they pass by. "As a fitting send-off, for those who have smiled, laughed, taken photos, made TikToks, knocked on our door for a closer look, let's spread the joy a little further. "I'm sure local animal charities would be incredibly grateful if everyone donated a £1 or more, which we'll share between them for toys and Scooby snacks." "It gets so much attention, especially from children, and we've had messages from people asking to see it before it goes."
