Visitors can tuck in to traditional Scottish fayre such as Haggis Toasties, Scottish Smoked Salmon on buttered crumpets, Benedicts - Ham, Salmon or Spinach, Avocado & Sourdough and a Full Scottish Breakfast. Cafe Calton features a stunning outdoor terrace for up 40 guests and a bright, elegant interior that draws inspiration from the natural beauty and neoclassical architecture of its surroundings. Located within the grounds of Collective and just steps from cultural landmarks like the National Monument and Nelson Monument, the venue is perfectly placed at the heart of Calton Hill's rich heritage Speaking about the opening, Stefano Pieraccini, Managing Director of The Rocca Group, said: "We sought to create a unique location that combines Edinburgh's past and contemporary, where the vistas are complemented by the ambiance, service, and cuisine. Cafe Calton, on top of Calton Hill offers panoramic views of the capital – and it has just opened its doors ahead of what promises to be a spell of lovely weather to enjoy the new surroundings. With stunning views from Arthur's Seat and the Old Town to the Firth of Forth, the new day-to-night restaurant with terrace is ready to welcome both locals and visitors. Enjoy a peaceful morning coffee after a walk, a hearty breakfast with a view, a healthy takeaway option on the go, or catch up with friends over small plates and a glass of wine as the sun sets. The 35 cover Cafe Calton has something for everyone throughout the day. The menu includes classic Scottish flavours alongside fresh, wholesome dishes to suit all tastes. A takeaway menu is also available for visitors to unwind on the iconic hill. Enjoy a Haggis Toastie, Scottish Smoked Salmon on buttered crumpets, Benedicts – Ham, Salmon or Spinach, Avocado & Sourdough and a Full Scottish Breakfast. Healthy options for breakfast and brunch include a Raspberry & Matcha Chia Pudding, Homemade Hazelnut Granola and Gluten Free Porridge. Cafe Calton's lunch menu served from 12pm – 4pm every day. The menu also includes a Grilled Chicken Burger, Homemade Pasta of the Day, Burrata, Pastrami Bagel and a Chicken Caesar Salad. For evenings, small plates include Steak Tartare, Chilli Cheese Croquettes, Crispy Chicken and Smoked Anchovies with whipped ricotta.
