25 Target Products If You Recently Sat On The Toilet Wondering How Your Bathroom Got So Nasty
We hope you love our recommendations! Some may have been sent as samples, but all were independently selected by our editors. Just FYI, BuzzFeed and its publishing partners may collect a share of sales and/or other compensation from the links on this page. These products from the good folks over at Target will take your bathroom from grime to shine in no time flat. 1. A pack of Scrubbing Bubbles drop-in toilet cleaners for an analog way to automate everyone's favorite task... (I'm joking, obvi). For those who would rather maintain a hard-fought clean for as long as possible, these handy tablets keep your potty clean and germ free for up to four weeks. Target 2. A bottle of Bar Keepers Friend liquid cleaner because, seriously — have you used this stuff?? From brass to stainless steel and from silver to porcelain, a quick coat of this stuff will leave it shining like the day it was made! Also available in a powdered form, I find the easy application of the liquid version tough to say no to. Always read the directions — this stuff is POWERFUL — and please send us a picture with your thank you note when your kitchen sink starts acting like a mirror. Target 3. A cashmere vanilla linen spray for when your bathroom needs a dash of crème brûlée and enchanté. While this list abounds in tough grime removers and space sparklers, sometimes a quick misting is all we have time for on a busy day. This luxurious spray does triple duty, as it can also be used on linens, hair/body. Target Promising review:"This spray smells heavenly! I got it for the gym and three pumps literally lasted my entire workout (and I sweat a lot). Would definitely recommend." — God is Love 4. A six-pack of microfiber cleaning cloths since paper towels are so over. JK! We love you paper towels! 🤧 That being said, for general housekeeping, this multi-pack has got your back for all your cleaning needs. Dusting? Nothing dusts like an ultra-fine microfiber. Need something more heavy-duty? Waffled texture's got you covered. Best of all, they're a quick wash away from being ready for another clean-a-thon. Your wallet, and a few trees, will definitely thank you. Target Promising review:"All cloths clean really well for their specific purpose. Doesn't leave streaks behind and easy to wash. I bought 2 packs and keep one set in our bathrooms and the kitchen." — Emily P 5. A Scrub Daddy PowerPaste and Scrub Mommy sponge for those of us who love a power couple. Seriously, we've all fallen for the entire Scrub family by this point. But now we have an all-new reason to invite them over: a tough-on-grease paste that polishes, cleans, and protects surfaces. Pair that with Scrub Mommy's magnificent design (did you know it's top-rack dishwasher safe??) and you're living space will go from meh to muah in no time! Target Promising reviews:"If you have a glass shower door — immediately yes, buy now!! You don't have to use much paste. Was able to do entire job without taking breaks (like I do for stronger scented cleaners). Followed directions and at the end I used a slightly damp microfiber cloth to get the last bit of residue." — B "My favorite thing to clean the bathroom with. I live with three messy boys (my husband and two sons) who really know how to do a number on the bathroom. I don't know how our tub gets so much scum built up so quickly, but this cuts right through it with a bit of elbow grease. And the sink with the hairs EVERYWHERE? Quick work of that. Now the toilet… gross, but this stuff gets the job done without too much work or sweat!" — Sara 6. A toilet wand with disposable pads to leave your potty pristine while keeping a friendly distance from the bowl. This toilet wand comes with a handy caddy that keeps a stack of fresh, detergent-loaded scrubbing pads at the ready. Also, a handy button on the handle makes it easy to dispose of the scrubbers in the trash by ejecting them like an escape pod. Basically, it's about as 007 as a toilet wand can get! Target Promising review:"We all hate cleaning the toilets, right? Well this little Clorox toilet wand is easy to use and no need to attach the scrubber by hand. They click right in from the caddy." — Crystal B 7. A posh and neutral cleaning caddy to channel your inner beige-fluencer. With its wooden handle grip and brushed steel body, this rust-resistant caddy will keep all your cleaning agents organized and see you through many a scrub sesh! Think your bathroom, so you can have a spa day every day or entryways so that your first step through the door sets the cozy train in motion. Great for those who already have a handful of essential oils or those who'd like to get in on the aromatherapy action! This oil diffuser is amazing the smell is wonderful, lasts a REALLY long period and the essence does not go away, I highly recommended!!" — Marian 10. A Dyson cordless stick vacuum because some of us want the Batmobile of handheld vacuums and refuse to settle for anything less. This trendy-looking appliance isn't just another pretty face — the powerful Dyson vacuum technology inside traps dust and allergens as small as 0.3 microns. That's about a hundredth of the width of a human hair... divided in half! 🤯 Target Promising review:"Lightweight and easy to use. Amazing the hidden dirt it picks up. Vacuumed one day prior and the dirt cup was filled with dirt and debris. It's going to be a very useful daily vacuum." — CM 11. An extendable scrubber to keep you from having to switch from scrubber to scrubber and to help avoid the bathroom cleaning hunch so many of us assume is a necessary evil. No more! This scrubbing wand features a wide adjustment range that can go from medium to mop-sized or longer! Apply the cleaner of your choice and do your best Wayne Gretzky impression as you literally wipe the floor with your opponents (meaning dirt, of course). Target Promising review:"Game changer for shower walls and bathroom areas that need a lil' extra scrub but might be too high to reach. With its extendable handle — it's great!!! I used a clean rag with fresh water and wrapped the scrubber and then went over the entire shower when I was all done to ensure no soapy residue. Absolutely recommend this product to reduce the time it takes to clean the shower. 😉" — Happytocook4myfam 12. And a jar of the Pink Stuff cleaning paste because, while TikTok might have made it famous, we come back to it since this stuff works! A Bissell carpet cleaner to give your rugs and bath mats the royal treatment. These loyal household members don't usually get the same attention as their hard-surface peers, but with this thing, you can remove months, if not YEARS, of dust and dander in the space of a few minutes. Its compact size makes it highly transportable — which is good because ALL of your friends are going to want to take it for a test ride. The itsy-bitsy bottle and the concentrated formula ensure your cleaning's not only apartment-friendly but also planet-friendly since it spares our transport system a good bit of water weight. Target Promising review:"We usually buy scent-free "green" products and are very "smell sensitive" to synthetic fragrance in our household. We like this Grove. Co. concentrates a lot -- the smell is not offensive, and the cleaning power is terrific. It's easy to mix in a repurposed empty spray bottle (no need to buy one just for this). The plastic-free packaging is great. We've repeat-purchased this product several times at Target because it's a "keeper."" — Maggie Price: $7.99 19. A super cute utility cart which can upgrade even the drabbest bathroom into a lavatorial palace! This elegant storage solution boasts smooth casters, plenty of storage, and frankly it's BEE-AUTIFUL! With powerful scrubbing action and adjustable length, you'll feel like a cleaning machine! Or, well, like you're using one at least. 🦾 Target Promising review:"Im obsessed… This works 10000% better than scrubbing ever could. My shower is WHITE WHITE. Target Promising review:"The drawers pull out so smooth and the shelf stays put on my desk perfectly!" — Megan Price: $35 (available in five colors) 22. An eco-friendly scrubber to continue the theme of green-clean we've got going on. The folks at Scotch-Brite have been hard at work figuring out a way to blend ecology and quiet luxury, and we think they finally cracked it! 👨🔬 Maybe that's a bit much, but we do love how this scrubber blends chic and scouring in one streamlined package. Target Promising review:"Makes washing dishes simpler. Hard to find a sponge that will help with the scrubbing." — Erika Price: $4.19+ (available in two pack sizes) 23. 25 Target Kitchen Items That Are Made For Parents With No Time On Their Hands
We hope you love our recommendations! Some may have been sent as samples, but all were independently selected by our editors. Just FYI, BuzzFeed and its publishing partners may collect a share of sales and/or other compensation from the links on this page. From the cookin' to the cleanin', we've got you. 1. An apple slicer that makes 16 perfect, thin, snack-size slices every single time. Listen, kids demand a LOT of snacks, so you'll want this secret weapon in your tool belt. Target Promising review:"This slicer works great! I love how smooth it cuts regardless of the shape of the apple. I also love that it has the bottom part to finish, pushing it through at the end. Last, I purposely bought it for the smaller slices, and it did not disappoint. Highly recommend for moms and anyone else who loves apple slices for snacks and meals." — Toddler Mom 2. A 4.5-quart KitchenAid Mixer — a cute and colorful classic because hand mixing takes SO LONG and you are over it. Plus, how adorable will this look on your counter? Target Promising review: " This is a great investment for anyone who loves to cook. We look forward to getting the food mill and pasta maker attachments soon!" — Great Investment 3. A hard-working, multitasking Scrub Mommy sponge that can quickly tackle that dried-out mac 'n' cheese in your favorite pot. It's so efficient both you and the sponge will be smiling at the end. Target 4. A space-saving vertical bottle rack, because dishes already take up enough of your day but this helps dry out the essentials — and quickly. Psst... you can keep using long after you put away the bottles. (It's also great for sippy cups, water bottles... wineglasses.) Target Promising review:"I originally started with using the grass drying rack but had to wash it every day because the water would pool in the tray, and it wasn't very sanitary. This rack has been a lifesaver! I wish I would have started with it. It stands perfectly by itself and holds a good bit! My only complaint is that the top pegs are a little too close to the basket for my Avent bottles to fit very well. Overall, I would highly recommend!" — Reviewer Price: $24.99 5. A Dash egg cooker that will be your absolute favorite thing — no matter what time of day it is. Choose how you want the eggs cooked, set the time, and wait for it to go off. It makes breakfast so easy. Plus, adding hard-boiled eggs to lunchboxes is also a great way to add protein. Target Promising review:"I love this little egg cooker! I used it for hard-boiled eggs, and it cooked the eggs perfectly! The best thing is that they peeled easily! No more tiny pieces of shells that you have to pick off. Easy cleanup, lightweight little machine, and easy to store away." — PB 6. A three-pack of Dr. Brown's bottle cleaners to help get the job done faster than you can say "old milk." Best part? These won't leave any residue or spoiled smell... you know what I'm talking about. It's the worst! Target Promising review:"I love how durable these are! I've been using them for over two years. They do last a good while until you need to replace them. I did so much research on which ones to choose, and these definitely get into every nook and cranny. I love that the bottom can stick onto the sink, and it's removable and easy to clean also. Don't look further; these are definitely the ones you need!" — MamaJ 7. A super durable and leakproof bento box, which will actually help you organize your brain and figure out what you need to put in there. Pssst: If you want to include a sweet treat, M&Ms look pretty cute in the circle compartment. Target Promising review:"I purchased this for my 7-year-old daughter. She had been asking for it after seeing some friends at her school lunch use one. She loves it! She specifically likes that her food stays in its own compartment and doesn't touch. She is a very picky eater, so this is a way to get her to help me get creative and think of ideas for each section. She takes it five days a week to school and has been very happy. No leaks!! Easy to open on her own. Very easy to clean." — mommymo 8. A Dash mini waffle maker that is not only sweet but — more importantly — will get breakfast on the table very, very quickly. Make a few extra and put them in your kiddo's snack bag for later! Target Promising review:"I cannot say enough good things about this little waffle maker. It may be small but it's mighty. It doesn't take up much room, is easy to store/clean, and makes fresh waffles for my family on busy mornings super fast. I just keep some waffle batter in my fridge throughout the week and use a few servings each morning. I never thought I would get as much use out of this as I do." — TeddyOats 9. A Packit freezable lunch bag, so you can load it up with all the goods (sandwiches, berries, cheese sticks, yogurt tubes, etc.) and not worry about being able to find one of those ice packs that always seem to disappear in your freezer. I've even used it to pull a grease stain out of a rug after one of my kids accidentally dropped their dinner. 11. A 6-quart Instant Pot, which is basically like having a sous chef on staff because this 9-in-1 appliance does it all... except put itself in the dishwasher for cleanup (but the lid and inner pot are dishwasher safe)! Target Promising review:"Time and life saver! I get out of work late, so this helps put dinner on the table and in bellies at an appropriate hour. Love it and can't wait to try out all the functions!" — Reviewer 12. An Oxo chopper that will chop, dice, mince, cut, and slice its way into your heart (and kitchen). This time-saver chops vegetables and fruits right into the container, so it keeps things neat and tidy. Did you just whip up a fruit salad? On a weeknight?! Impressive. Target Promising review:"The only thing I regretted about this chopper was not purchasing it sooner! It has saved so much time and effort in chopping vegetables I couldn't be happier." — Jessica 13. A trusty little iRobot Roomba vacuum-and-mop combo to quietly do two of your least favorite chores for you — and it's probably much more effective than having your dog eat any food that your baby threw on the ground. Yes, you really do need to clean under the table. Target Promising review:"The fringe on the rugs is no problem. I was very worried about that. It can get under furniture our vacuum cleaner could never reach. The mop works better than the robot mop I have had for many years." — MCL 14. A set of Souper Cubes so you can save your leftovers, pop them in the freezer, and enjoy them when you need a quick meal later. These are also the MVP of meal prep. (If you have the time to do that!) A stainless-steel, hands-free step trash can that'll really come in handy when your hands are full. Not only gets the job done but is actually surprisingly chic for something that, ya know, holds garbage. Target Promising review:"It looks amazing, very slick and practical! Big but not bulky. I like how there is a plastic bin inside of it, makes it easier to wash if needed." — MarylovesTarget 16. A small-but-mighty Ninja food processor that will quite literally chop your food prep time in half — and can then go right into the dishwasher for easy cleanup. Target Promising review:"I got this tool with low expectations and it has blown me away. I can make dressings that are perfectly blended quickly and it dices onions and garlic in seconds. I don't know how I lived without it. Be careful cleaning it, it's sharp!" — hah 17. A pack of stainless steel wipes because while you absolutely cherish your little's sweet handprints, you'd rather see them on arts and crafts projects than on your appliances. These make cleaning a breeze. Target Promising review:"I've tried a few different stainless steel cleaners, and by far, this one from Weiman is top of the mark! I even use it on my sink when it's wet, and it always dries to a beautiful shine when used on my enamel stove; it is the best for cleaning stainless steel and kitchen appliances! I sliced an onion in seconds, tomatoes, even pepper, carrots everything. I use to have a chopper but I end up breaking it so I tried this one. I love to have my food ready all the time and it's easy to clean it and has never rusted or broken. I've owned it for 5 months now." — Rain 21. An air fryer, which is totally another one of those "what can't it do?" products. Cook delicious full dinners with it, or reheat leftovers and get those wings and fries extra crispy again. You'll be particularly grateful when your kids are hollering at you! Target Promising review:"Spacious enough to feed my three boys and very easy to use and clean." — phoenix52 22. An oven thermometer to help you get a sense of your oven's actual temperature while you cook and bake. How does this save you time? Well, very often our ovens aren't actually calibrated, so when you *think* the oven is pre-heated, it might actually not be fully there. And then your meal takes even longer to cook than you thought. Or maybe, it's too hot and you accidentally burn it! You get the gist. Target Promising review:"I've used this on my grill and my oven. I primarily use it in my oven now to ensure the temperature is what I want it to be. It has saved me from burning some baked goods. 32 Products To Help You Clean And Organize Your Pantry In Honor Of Spring Cleaning Season
1. A Scrub Daddy cleaning bundle with everything you need to tackle that cracked molasses bottle that has now adhered itself to your pantry shelf. Sure, you noticed it a few weeks ago, but you weren't mentally prepared to address it quite yet — and you didn't have a Scrub Mommy on your side. What's included: Three Scrub Mommy sponges, PowerPaste, Tangerine Clean, and PowErase Gel. Promising review: "First of all this was a really great deal, three sponges and three cleaners. Each sponge is a different color so that you can use them for separate things. Blue for bathroom, pink for dishes, etc. The gel cleanser stuff is my absolute favorite! A little goes a long way, but I have used it to remove stains from my kids clothes, wash the counters, windows, mirrors. It's like a miracle all-in-one cleaner, and best of all it's non-toxic. There's no bleach or nasty chemicals that hurt my nose or hands when cleaning. I really love this stuff!" — Arielle Stewart Get it from Amazon for $34.99. 2. An over-the-door organizer so you can make the most of dead space. Your husband might have laughed when you came back from Costco with 24 boxes of Kraft Mac and Cheese, but little did he know you had the perfect storage spot in mind... Promising review: "This organizer is just what I needed for my small pantry! The nine tiers provide ample space for everything I need, and it's super easy to install. I love being able to see all my items at a glance, which has saved me so much time when cooking. It's also very sturdy and well-made. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to declutter their pantry!" — puooch Get it from Amazon for $35.99+ (available in two colors). 3. Some pantry moth traps that use pheromones to attract the little demons that have been ravaging your supply of grains, cereals, flours, and pet food. Goodbye once and for all!!!! Promising review: "I had never even heard of moths in the pantry! Once I figured out where they were coming from, I did some research. Turns out they had been feeding off of granola and almonds for a while. I went online and this is what I ended up doing. These traps worked a charm, but it doesn't happen overnight so be patient. Victory!" — Ms. B Get a set of eight from Amazon for $9.88 (also available in a set of 12). 4. A set of adjustable mug organizers so you can confidently open your cupboard knowing an avalanche of mugs isn't about to fall on you. Elypro — the creator of this nifty gadget — is a small biz! Promising review: "I came across these in an Amazon review on TikTok and I just had to have them for my mugs. I have a lot of mugs, but no space. I didn't want a hanging mechanism for the mugs I just needed a way to stack them. This is such a great product to help stack mugs. They're easily adjustable for any size mug. They don't topple over, they're very sturdy. One of the best space savers I have in the kitchen!" — Magdalynn Tibbetts Get a set of six (to organize 12 mugs) from Amazon for $24.99 (available in three colors). 5. An expandable, two-tier organizer because every time you put a cleaning product back in the cabinet in the closet, you have approx. one millisecond to slam the door shut before everything tumbles out. The shelving unit is suitable for most cabinets as you can adjust the height to four different levels (2, 5, 9, and 13 inches tall) and expand the rail anywhere between 15–25 inches. Since the dimensions aren't one-size-fits-all, it also comes with three large panels and four small panels so you can adjust the shelves. Promising review: "I held back on buying an under-sink shelf because of the price, but this is so worth it because of how adjustable it is! This thing has made that mini-cave of an under-sink area way more organized, with stuff easier to get to or move out of the way. The two widths of shelf pieces are a smart touch; they accommodate a wide variety of drains under kitchen sinks. I didn't use all the shelf pieces because of the extra-wide and deep drain in my apartment. I think the only thing that would make this perfect for me is a cosmetic thing — a chrome version or a matte black. But since it's under the sink, the color is fine and close enough." — Kevin M. Get it from Amazon for $24.47 (available in three finishes). 6. A nonskid three-tier pantry organizer ready to save you from buying yet another thing of paprika because yours is seemingly off exploring Narnia. I have the 15-inch one and it fits in my standard-sized cabinet ~perfectly~ and allows me to see all of my spices so I don't have to rifle through them and make a mess every time I'm cooking. Ofc if spices are only part of your issue, it can also be used to hold extracts, canned veggies, sauces, etc.! Promising review: "I'm so glad I finally committed to buying this. As a vegetarian, I've found that I have to add double the spice just to get a real kick in the dishes I prepare. Not to mention, making sure that I have all the spices that I'm going to need while being quarantining/ social distancing. With that said, my spice cabinet was atrocious before I got these racks. And I am so happy to finally be able to grab my spices without knocking over the other ones and making even more of a mess. I didn't know something so small and plain could bring me so much joy. Buy it now! You will not be disappointed." — Arie M. Get it from Amazon for $7.99+ (available in two sizes and 12 colors). 7. Or a 30-spice door rack if there's simply no getting around the fact that your collection has outgrown its designated cabinet. Each strip has five clips which fit most standard spice bottles (1.5–1.75 inches in diameter). The strips also come with pre-applied tape so all you have to do is peel and stick. Promising review: "Love, love, love this! I have old narrow cabinets and not nearly enough of them so I desperately needed a new way to organize all my herbs and spices. Took a chance based on a list of cool new things and couldn't be more happy with this product! It came with 30 grippers for only $10. I didn't even have to screw them into my cabinets. If you follow the directions and let them cure 24 hours, the self-adhesive works great! I plan on buying a few sets for gifts!" — Brandi Y. Get it from Amazon for $13.97 (available in three colors). 8. A shelving unit designed specifically for your water bottle and travel mug collection. First, TikTok got you to buy a Stanley and then it got you to buy an Owala, and honestly, you know you'll get whatever's next, too. PS: YouCopia is a woman-owned small business that specializes in home storage solutions. Promising review:"I have a bad habit of buying reusable water bottles. This one is cute, this one has this feature, this one has that. What resulted was a cluttered cabinet, a ton of water bottles falling on me every time I went to get one, and I was only using the handful right at the front. This is a great solution! It keeps the cupboard organized, and I can see what I have and quickly grab the bottle I need. As a bonus, it also creates a built-in limitation on how many water bottles I can have at any given time. Really recommend." — Miki Get it on Amazon for $24.99+ (available in three sizes). 9. A handheld steam cleaner that uses high-pressure, high-temperature steam (no chemicals!) to blast away nastiness from hard-to-clean areas like the metal shelving in your pantry. Promising review: "Cleaned stove top and the hood vents. Then, I had to clean the sticky grease from the sink. Worked very easily and without chemicals. Easy to use and to refill. Annnnnd some waterproof pantry labels so you always know what you're reaching for. Promising review: "Work really well, stick firmly, and sleek matte black look. Or, if aesthetics aren't the most important thing on your list of priorities, some airtight food storage containers (they're BPA-free!) with reusable labels so you can switch things out with ease. And even better, despite the fact that the set comes with containers in four different sizes, all of the lids are the same so you'll never have to go on a wild goose chase looking for one that fits!!! Promising review:"I ordered a few different sets from this company and all seem really airtight so far. I like how they stack and am loving the label options. My pantry is looking really organized. A pack of six cord bundlers so you can organize unruly Instant Pot, toaster, and panini press cords instead of having to bat them out of your way every time you look through your pantry. The bundlers work like any other Command product — with damage-free adhesive. Promising review: "I have one of these attached to almost every cord-having thing I own, and for maybe $30 in total, I feel like my whole life got a facelift. My stand mixer looks better on the counter, and it stays clean even when everything else is a mess. My space heaters store so neatly in the linen closet. I have an HDMI cord bundled to the back of each TV. There's a bundler stuck between my car's dash and console, which holds two phone chargers. Truly, especially for the price, I could not recommend something more highly." — Amber Stewart Get it from Amazon for $12.99. 14. A two-tier lazy Susan strong enough to store your reserve of soup cans or spices. Plus, since it's nonskid, nothing will come flying out at you even if your rental's shelves are majorly uneven. Promising review: "This turned a mess of a cabinet into an organized cabinet. We use A LOT of spices and it was always a nightmare to find the right one. Now, I just spin to find what I want. It's a nice height, too, and allows for different sized bottles to be placed on the racks. Overall, this is a good purchase to help with organization." — vegmom Get it from Amazon for $15.99+ (available in 10 colors). 15. A set of two cabinet shelf organizers so you can elevate your mug collection and make room for more because look, you *will* be buying at least one next time you go to Target. Promising review:"I absolutely LOVE my new organizational wooden stands. They arrived today, as soon as I easily put them together I was surprised how great they looked. The texture is better than expected, very sturdy, looks great on my kitchen counter, and turned my messy counter into a nice display of items I use daily. I'm so in love with these I'm going to buy more for other areas if the house and my adult kids think they're great,t so thinking about getting them as stocking stuffers!!!!" — Kristen Get it from Amazon for $18.99+ (available in four finishes and two sizes). 16. Promising review: "I love that the bins are clear so you can see what you need instead of having to rummage through the whole bin. I used one bin for corralling Hydro Flask and Stanley lids and straws. The other I use for corralling my resealable container lids. Aaahhhh no more mess!" — Knitter Get them from Amazon for $22.99+ (available in sets of two, four, six, or eight). 17. A chrome can rack where you can store all 36 of the Campbell's tomato soups you picked up because your grocery store was having a really good sale. Promising review: "This is a terribly useful product because no canned good companies have the decency to make their cans the same size with interlocking lids which means you either have to stack your vegetables one high, or play a precarious game of Jenga every time you reach for cream of chicken. Enter this thing. It uses the same footprint as the same amount of cans would, EXCEPT there is none of that precarious stacking so you don't get buried in an avalanche of pantry staples every time you make dinner. Plus, it really cleans up your pantry. Pretty inexpensive solution to a messy problem I had." — Get it from Amazon for $21.99. 18. A cabinet door organizer with room for cutting boards, plastic wrap, baking sheets, and whatever else plagues your pantry. You can hang the steel rack over a cabinet door via a set of included hooks or you can mount it directly to a door or wall with the included hardware. It can support roughly five standard-sized cutting boards. Promising review: " This organizer is so useful! I recently moved and ended up with a much smaller kitchen, so I've been doing everything I can to make sure there's no wasted space. Luckily, I have pretty wide cabinets, so this works out perfectly. I have one holding my cutting boards and another holding my foil, cling wrap, and parchment paper boxes. The organizer is super easy to assemble and it's completely versatile — hang it over the cabinet door or attach it to the wall/cabinet door, which means it's great for renters and owners." — Kerry Get it from Amazon for $14.87+ (available in packs of one or two). 19. A 24-pocket shoe organizer that doesn't have to be used for shoes at all! Some reviewers use them for water bottles and I'm thinking they'd work just as well for seasonal Starbucks cups... Promising reviews:" I have many uses for these other than shoes. I have one in the pantry on the door for cleaning towels, brushes, spray cleaners, etc. Saves space under the kitchen counter and no bending! Have one in the bathroom for makeup, etc." — Charleegirl "I use this for my water bottles. I put them on the back of my walk-in closet door. Superhero DIY is a Broomfield, Colorado-based shop with 3D-printed storage solutions as well as cosplay props, costume accessories, collectibles, and more. Promising review: "These are so amazing! I had no idea they existed. I've been storing my attachments in the bowl, which has not only caused scratches in the stainless bowl over time, but the extra attachments would also be loose and taking up valuable space on my counter when I was baking and only using one attachment. It was annoying! This keeps them handy, but put away and I can select the attachment I need while the others stay put. So handy. Absolutely recommend!" — Marissa Get a set of four from Superhero DIY for $9.55+ (available in nine colors). 21. A three-tier metal utility cart with four wheels so you can zip it around the kitchen as you cook. Use it as extra pantry storage or for your mis en place if there's simply no more room on your counters. Amazon Promising review: "I like the sturdiness of this product. A macramé fruit hammock so your bananas, apples, and oranges can enjoy their last days on Earth in comfort. Perfect if you have little counter space." — Jessi "Love it. Might get another for bread and buns. The clearance between our counter and upper cabinets is weirdly short — can't fit most countertop items — so this was the perfect solution" — pogtotes Get it from KnappsKnots on Etsy for $28.90+ (available in two sizes and 11 colors). 23. A slide-out pantry to utilize the dead space between your fridge and wall (or any appliance, really). The four-tier cupboard slides around on four wheels so you can easy pull it out and push it back in. Promising review: "I needed a skinny shelf that could hold canned food so I could make the most of my limited pantry space. In under 15 minutes, I took my nightmare lid drawer and turned it into a functional, convenient storage space. The dividers were simple to install and provided flexibility. Slowly but surely I am getting my tiny, chaotic kitchen under control, and this got me a huge leap closer." — S. Hawthorn Get it from Amazon for $16.99+ (available in three sizes). 25. A wooden sandwich bag holder you can slip in a drawer or leave propped up on a pantry shelf for ultimate convenience. It has slots for snack-, sandwich-, quart-, and gallon-sized food storage bags and the lid is held on with magnets so it's easy to refill when necessary. Each unit is made of solid birch wood. If you order the unassembled version, the seller recommends using wood glue to put it together. And a similar plastic, wax paper, and foil organizer that can be wall-mounted or simply plopped on a shelf. That way, you don't have to deal with cardboard boxes and only being able to find your tinfoil when it's wax paper you need. Promising review:"It's really nice having all three of our wrappings in one place. There's still room in our drawer with this in it, too. I love being able to cleanly cut plastic wrap... I will no longer waste plastic wrap or get it stuck to where it pulls off in pieces. This is also a great time saver. It's very easy to clean also. I highly recommend this particular unit. I like that it came with stickers too, that say 'Plastic,' 'Aluminum,' and 'Wax.' I was delighted at the price as well." — Cav Trooper 19D Get it from Amazon for $22.98+ (available in three sizes and four colors). 27. Promising reviews: "These are exactly like the Scrub Daddy's. Only hella cheaper." — kr425 "I had low expectations for this. But I'm really happy to find that they do work really well for a much better price than the name brand. It's pretty much the same as the name-brand damp duster, except that the grooves are slightly wider. Dusted tops and fronts of my cabinets in about five minutes, but I'm most impressed with how well it removes pet hair from my couch and clothes even better than sticky rollers. I have Pomeranians blowing out their winter undercoats, so it's my new fav thing." — onon Get it from Amazon for $7.99+ (available in packs of two, four, and eight and in five colors). 29. A wall-mounted pot hanger where you can suspend your entire collection in plain view. If cabinet space is scarce, this is an easy way to add extra storage. The wall-mounted unit includes a six-track wooden shelf (so you can place lids vertically) and six swiveling hooks for hanging pots and pans. Once securely attached to the wall, the organizer can hold up to 30 pounds. Promising review: "Easily my favorite kitchen item. I have a tiny kitchen that only has two cabinets for storage, so my oven was my storage for pots and pans until I bought this. Now I don't have to pull eight items out of my oven just to preheat and bake something. Installation was easy, took about 10 minutes. It's easy to pull the hooks up and move them when you decide you want them somewhere else and you can store lids or stock pots or other items on the shelf above the pots. Love, love, love this pot rack." — Patricia R. Get it from Amazon for $67.95. 30. A pull-out hidden spice shelf attachment to help you use up dead space under fixed shelves. 22 cleaning products that our editors can't stop reaching for
Regular cleaning is a necessity if you want to keep your home feeling fresh and organized, but it's by no means the most high-octane activity on your to-do list. And Underscored editors, we're just like you — we have homes that, whether we like it or not, we have to clean. Luckily, since we test products for a living, we've found plenty of cleaning essentials that make sprucing up our spaces easy and at times, even borderline fun. Ahead, we're sharing our tried and trusted cleaning products with you. A post shared by CNN Underscored (@cnnunderscored) Scrub Daddy Scrub Mommy Sponges, 3-Pack I have yet to find a better sponge than the Scrub Mommy. I love that it's double-sided for all my cleaning needs. It's long-lasting, durable and gets the job done, all without scratching my most delicate dishes or pans. I've even used it to scrub floors. — Carolina Gazal, associate testing writer Oxo Good Grips Deep Clean Brush Set I've had these mini scrub brushes for years, and they're so handy that I think everyone should have them in their home. I use them for practically everything, whether I need to clean the small parts of my cat's water fountain or scrub away residue from stickers. I also like that the smaller brush has a silicone 'blade' that reaches into tight crevices I'd be otherwise unable to clean. — Amina Lake Abdelrahman, home and gifts editor Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day Multi-Surface Everyday Cleaner When I need to start cleaning, I put on a podcast and pull out my Mrs. Meyer's Multi-Surface Cleaner. I like using it after cooking or to freshen up my space over the weekend. It's safe to use on every surface in my home. Plus, the lavender scent smells incredible. — Gareen Puglia, associate testing writer Lysol Power Toilet Bowl Cleaner Gel I've used other toilet bowl cleaners, but I like that this one from Lysol clings to the rim and inside of the toilet bowl. The gel's clinginess, combined with the angled bottle shape, makes it easy to coat those hard-to-reach spots before going in with the toilet brush. Plus, the Atlantic Fresh scent has a pleasant, slightly minty smell to it. — Rachel Dennis, associate editor Shark Vacmop If you have a lot of hardwood and/or tile flooring in your space, the Shark VacMop is an absolute must-have cleaning tool. I grab it for minor and major messes alike, and it's significantly cut down on the need to do regular deep cleans. I love it so much that I have one for upstairs and one for downstairs. — Daniel Toy, section editor, copy chief The Laundress Glass & Mirror Cleaner Windex is usually my go-to glass and mirror cleaner, but these days, I'm loving this one from The Laundress. With notes of lavender, jasmine and eucalyptus, this luxury cleaning product smells incredible — and it leaves my mirrors streak-free when paired with a microfiber cloth. I'm also a fan of the surface cleaner from the same collection. — Amina Lake Abdelrahman, home and gifts editor Staff Reusable Lint Roller Who said cleaning products have to be an eyesore? Not Staff, the brand behind all my favorite cleaning products that look like decor. I just got this cute lint roller that I display in my apartment proudly, and it makes catching fuzzies a lot more fun. I also own Staff's toilet plunger, hangers, toilet brush and oven mitts, so I mean business when I say the brand should become a staple in your cleaning and organizing routine too. These items are so cool, I actually look forward to cleaning a dirty toilet (I'm slightly kidding)! — Tamara Kraus, senior lifestyle editor Clorox Clean-Up All-Purpose Cleaner I find bleach scary and don't like to use it too regularly for cleaning, but sometimes you need to break out the heavy-duty stuff to get the job done. I'll dilute a tablespoon or two of this Clorox cleaner and bleach into a bucket when I need to give my shower a good scrub or add a splash to my compost bin when I need to get rid of lingering decomposition smells. It's a bit harsh, but good to have on hand when you want something to clean and disinfect effectively. — Jillian Tracy, associate editor Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, 10-Pack I hesitate to call any cleaning tool 'magical,' but the Magic Eraser comes pretty close. Whether I'm using it to remove weird smudges on my walls or brighten up my white sneakers, this sturdy sponge works on tougher messes to minimize the need for intense scrubbing, often times with just water alone. I always have a pack under my kitchen sink at home, and they're my cleaning go-to when nothing else works. — Chelsea Stone, editorial director Lysol Disinfectant Spray Before lining my trash bins with a fresh bag, I like to spray the inside of the bins with this Lysol disinfectant spray. You only need a few sprays, and it keeps things smelling nice and fresh while disinfecting the surface and killing any lingering germs. — Rachel Dennis, associate editor Bar Keepers Friend Multipurpose Household Cleanser and Polish Bar Keepers Friend is one of those must-have cleaning products that you're always going to find under my sink. It works extremely well at removing rust stains and hard water spots in my kitchen sink, and it can also restore scorched stainless steel cookware. The best part? It's so affordable! — Amina Lake Abdelrahman, home and gifts editor Read our review Wagner Spraytech 925e Elite Steamer I love using a steamer because once you buy it, all you need to do is add water to get a good clean. From floors to ovens to taking off wallpaper and getting wrinkles out of clothes, this steamer can get any job done. It gets even the worst gunk and grime off ovens in only a few minutes. The whole thing is lightweight and on wheels, so it makes it easy to go from room to room. Plus, it comes with a variety of attachments for whatever you use it for. — Lindsey Smith, newsletter editor Dyson WashG1 I had the opportunity to finally test this wet vacuum for my best Dyson vacuums guide, and I am in love! I've probably owned about three or four mop vacuums over the years, and this one made the process so much easier. Although, I wish Dyson made the water tank bigger so I didn't have to refill it as often. — Michelle Rae Uy, writer, testing and updates Read our review Stardrops The Pink Stuff Cleaning Paste This pink paste was all over my social feeds a few summers ago, and after a while, I was influenced to give it a go. I have no idea what is in this strange, pink paste, but it cleans well. I tend to reach for this when I deep clean and need to cut through built-up grime on my stove top, oven or shower. I've even used it to spruce up a pair of white sneakers. For extra cleaning precision and force, I like to dip an old toothbrush in the paste to get hard-to-reach areas like in-between sink handles, drains and other tight nooks. — Jillian Tracy, associate editor. Read our review Shark Steam Mop My friend gave me a Shark Steam Mop because she accidentally received two due to a shipping error, and I'm glad she did. Despite not having a lot of features and being made of mostly plastic, it's an impressive steam mop that you'll want in your spring cleaning arsenal. It gets hot enough — scalding hot, in fact, so be careful — that it'll quickly remove all the months of grime off your floor without requiring that much effort from you. I love using it on days when I'm feeling lazy but know that I absolutely need to clean. It's a cheap alternative to the Dyson WashG1. — Michelle Rae Uy, writer, testing and updates Bona High Performance Dusting System I recently got my hands on this extendable duster from Bona, and it has been a game changer at dusting those hard-to-reach areas in my apartment. I had been neglecting to dust my ceiling fan for way too long, but as soon as I got my hands on this long-handled duster with an adjustable head, it was a cleaning task that was borderline kind of fun. Even though it's taller than me while fully extended, it folds up so compact that it'd fit in even the smallest apartments. — Amina Lake Abdelrahman, home and gifts editor Iucge Rubber Cleaning Gloves It's my belief that every home should have at least one pair of rubber gloves on hand. Whether you're dealing with harsh chemicals like bleach or dealing with grimy and harrowing messes, it's nice to have something protecting your skin and clothes. These gloves give me the liberty to clean with even more elbow grease and are also great for daily tasks like dishwashing, especially if you have manicured hands you'd like to keep looking sharp. — Jillian Tracy, associate editor Swiffer PowerMop Since I live in an NYC apartment, I don't have space for bulky cleaning supplies, which is why I've always opted for Swiffer's space-saving products. The PowerMop is an upgrade to the standard Swiffer Sweeper, with dirt-grabbing mop pads and a fresh-scented cleaning solution that you can spray with the push of a button. The mop itself is battery powered so you aren't hindered by long cords or the availability of outlets. It honestly makes cleaning up my floors a breeze, and I like that I can target specific spots with the spray. — Sophie Shaw, beauty and fashion editor Earth Breeze Laundry Detergent Sheets I got tired of trying to figure out whether or not my empty bottles of detergent are getting recycled, so I recently switched to these detergent sheets. They're very effective at cleaning my clothes, don't take up much space in my laundry closet and are easier to use — just grab a sheet and toss it in the washer! — Michelle Rae Uy, writer, testing and updates Swiffer Heavy-Duty Duster Refills I already have a Swiffer Duster handle, so now, I just buy duster refills whenever I empty a box. They do a great job at picking up dust, and because they're double-sided, I feel like I get more use out of one. The dusters I currently use are unscented, but I may need to pick up a box of scented ones the next time I run out. — Rachel Dennis, associate editor Febreze Fabric Extra Strength Air Freshener Having a pleasant-smelling abode is important to me, and after I've swept, wiped, straightened and vacuumed my living spaces, I like to metaphorically seal the deal by locking in the clean with this Febreze fabric spray. I use this liberally on my couch, carpets, curtains, bathmats and pillows to help everything feel extra fresh. — Jillian Tracy, associate editor Suzanne Somers Suzanne Eco Cleaner Multi-Surface Duo Tons of cleaning products are made with a lot of chemicals, so finding an eco-friendly product that gets the job done isn't always an easy task. I started using this organic multi-surface cleaner and life has never been easier. I really love that you can use this for almost every household task, from your windows to even your car. It has a light and refreshing scent and makes my space smell clean without being too overpowering. — Gabriella Triolo, social coordinator Here at Underscored, we make it our job to stay up to date on all the latest products, but we don't just find them; we also rigorously test products from hundreds of brands. A woven wastebasket because every bathroom needs a little trash bin, so why not make it this gorgeous little number instead of the standard can? Featuring a lovely textured pattern and an all-important lid (bathroom refuse is rarely beautiful), this basket will brighten up any WC it finds itself in. 14. A three-tier wire drawer organizer to stow away anything and everything that can fit into a larger bathroom cabinet. Think hair brushes, bath bombs, Epsom salts — you name it! The easy sliding drawers won't rust over time, and you'll keep your a.m. routine shorter and much sweeter when you're not digging around crowded drawers. Target Promising review:"I love this organizer it fits perfect under my vanity in my bathroom. It's exactly what I need to use clutter under my sink and everything is very easy get to now! Wish I would have bought sooner! Would highly recommend!" — Target shopper 15. A jewelry organizer so you can accessorize in real-time without having to go through your entire jewelry collection each morning. Also, it's great for being a quick catch-all after a long night out and a quick makeup removal before bed. 16. And a front camera mirror vanity so useful for bathrooms that are too small to do your whole routine in. Also, if you share a space, you may have a partner or roomie patiently waiting to do their own thing in the bathroom. If this is your struggle, this very modern mirror not only does double duty of makeup mirror and vanity, but you can also check your look on your front cam to make sure you're IG-worthy before you step out the door. Target Promising review:"I loved this mirror. It seems so convenient and as soon as I started using it, I loved it. I feel like the only problem is that it could only fit certain types of phones and the little circle thing is kind of annoying, sometimes it doesn't work and I would give it a 9 out of 10 if it couldn't come out but I'm giving it a 10 out of 10 because I love that you can take it off and put it on if you want to. All in all is a really good buy and worth $30." — worthit 17. A power spin scrubber to make cleaning those hard-to-reach spots actually fun (yes, fun!). This extendable power scrubber can handle it all – whether it's the grout between your tiles or the soap scum that's been playing hide-and-seek on your shower wall. With powerful scrubbing action and adjustable length, you'll feel like a cleaning machine! Or, well, like you're using one at least. 🦾 Target 18. A rustic bathroom etagere that can hold all those vibe-y hand towels, candles, and little planters your dream bathroom longs to be adorned with. With sturdy construction and adjustable feet (for all the Virgos already mentally leveling each shelf), this posh addition makes itself home in any bathroom — be it shiplap walls or subway tiles. 19. And finally, a towel warmer to turn your morning routine into a luxury retreat. With enough room to handle a few towel sizes (and even a robe!!!) you can drape yourself in a soft, steaming towel morning, noon, and night. Seriously, imagine being grumpy in a hot towel... impossible. Target Promising review:"This was a joint Christmas gift for my husband and I, and it doesn't disappoint. We originally got the smaller version, but it wasn't big enough for our larger bath towels. This one holds both of our Threshold Bath sheets (larger towels), and the temperature is perfect for chilly Minnesota winter mornings. My only recommendation would be an automatic timer for ON (so you don't forget to turn it on early enough with a hectic schedule)." — Soccermama72
