Nebraska volleyball adds an all-conference opposite hitter to the roster for 2025
The Nebraska volleyball team has added an all-conference opposite hitter to its roster. Two-time All-Big 12 selection Allie Sczech will join the Huskers for the 2025 season.
The Texas native played three seasons at Baylor and has one year of remaining eligibility. Head coach Dani Busboom Kelly believes that Sczech has a big arm that can contribute to the Cornhuskers this fall.
"Allie is a great person who has been all in on joining our program even through the coaching transition, which says a lot about her character and commitment to becoming a Husker. Allie is a proven and experienced player at this level and has a big left arm. We are very much looking forward to Allie's arrival on campus next month."
Last season, she averaged 2.44 kills per set with a .273 hitting percentage. She also totaled 80 digs and 72 blocks. The Texan earned a gold medal with Team USA at the 2023 Pan American Cup in Nogales, Mexico. Sczech will earn dual degrees in corporate communication and journalism in May 2025.
