NCIS star finalizes divorce with wife of 18 years following shock split

Sean Murray officially finalized his divorce from Carrie James following 18 years of marriage and welcoming two children. The star, 47 - who is known for portraying the role of Senior Field Agent Timothy McGee in NCIS - was declared legally single in a judgement filed on Tuesday, per documents obtained by People. Last year, Carrie had filed for divorce from the actor and listed their date of separation as March 18, 2024. The former couple will divide their pension plans and retirement accounts while other details of the final settlement took place outside of the court. Topics such as child and spousal support, custody as well as division of property will also be handled privately. Sean and Carrie made the decision to not disclose the agreement on those issues 'with the Superior Court except if necessary to obtain compliance with any provision of The Judgements... 'To enforce any term contained therein, or to seek a modification of any modifiable term contained therein.' If so, the two 'may encounter complications enforcing the Further Judgment.' One year earlier in April, it was revealed that Carrie had filed for divorce from Murray after 18 years of marriage, People reported at the time. The pair had first crossed paths at a Halloween party back in 2004 and said 'I do' the following year. During the course of their nearly 20 years of marriage, Sean and Carrie also welcomed two children: Caitlyn, 18, and River, 15. At the time, People reported that the mom-of-two had cited the reason for their shock split as 'irreconcilable differences.' In court documents, she had asked the court for sole physical and joint legal custody of their kids. Carrie also requested for spousal support and that the Hollywood actor cover her attorney fees. Soon after, Sean filed paperwork in response and instead asked the court for joint physical and legal custody of their two children. The Hocus Pocus star had also requested that they each pay their own attorney fees. Months before their separation came to light, the former couple had celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary in November 2023. Murray began his professional acting career in the 90s, and made appearances in projects such as Touched By An Angel, Boston Public and JAG. In 1993, he took on the role of Thackery Binx in the movie Hocus Pocus - which also starred Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy, Omri Katz and Thora Birch. Since 2003, Sean has been playing the character of Timothy McGee in NCIS - and the season 22 finale recently aired earlier this month on May 5. The upcoming 23rd season of the hit CBS show is also in the works, with Murray set to return after the series was renewed a few months earlier in February. Other cast members that seemingly are set to return include Gary Cole, Brian Dietzen, Katrina Law, Rocky Carroll and Diona Reasonover. During a recent interview with Town & Country earlier this month, Sean opened up about his longtime role on NCIS and the show itself. He stated, 'We've gone 22 years and the world of television has changed quite a bit and in some respects we're a dinosaur, but we're still got our fan base. We're doing quite well!' Murray added, 'We all care very much, which is not always the case out there. A lot of people like to rest on their laurels. I think we're always pushing to do good work and as long as we're doing that, then I'm having fun. 'I'm proud of us that we are always trying to make it better and make good episodes. I really mean that.' The star further expressed, 'I'm not just saying that - because if we weren't doing that, I'd be bored. I wouldn't want to do it. It's not just a job, it really keeps me really interested and I love the people that I work with.' In regards to playing his character for over two decades, Murray explained, 'I have a pretty good idea of the line between McGee and myself. 'But that's not to say that there aren't any similarities; as you grow with a character, you start to integrate parts of yourself into these characters.' Murray also reflected on how the series has evolved over the years and said, 'Even though we've been around 22 years, the show has gone through different iterations, it has felt like different shoes in one. 'It's not just the cast changes over the years. The show, the style has changed and evolved as we've gone on.' The actor added, 'If you watch early episodes of this show, it's very different than some of the episodes that we do now. We're never just trying to be like, "Okay, well we did this. Let's do this thing again." We care.' Mark Harmon had previously starred in NCIS as Leroy Jethro Gibbs until his exit in season 19. Pauley Perrette also played Abby Sciuto from 2003 until she left the show in 2018.

Hamilton Taking Centre Stage For Kiwi Music Festival

In a hotly contested battle to be the new home for the Jim Beam Homegrown music festival, Hamilton has come out on top. After 18 years on Wellington's waterfront, the festival is relocating to Claudelands Oval on 14 March 2026, ushering in a thrilling new era for both the event and the city. The festival has long been a cornerstone of Aotearoa's music scene, showcasing over 50 top-tier Kiwi acts across genres like rock, reggae, hip-hop, and electronic. Mayor Paula Southgate was delighted at the news. 'Bringing Jim Beam Homegrown to Hamilton is a monumental win for our city. It's a celebration of New Zealand music and culture, and we're proud to host it at Claudelands Oval. This event will invigorate our local economy and put Hamilton on the national stage.' "Hamilton is brilliant at hosting big events across many great venues and that is part of what makes our city a great place to visit or call home." The festival's move is anticipated to boost local businesses, hospitality, and tourism, injecting fresh energy into Hamilton's cultural landscape. Sean Murray, Hamilton City Council Deputy Chief Executive says Claudelands Oval is a versatile and spacious area, perfect for a festival of this magnitude. 'Our initial estimates expect more than 25,000 festival goers will spend around $3m during their visit and result in 16,000 visitor nights,' said Murray. "Hamilton has the benefit of being the hub of the Waikato and this is a win for the whole upper North Island. We've proven we can deliver big events and are ready and excited to make this next era of the festival unforgettable." Tickets for the inaugural Hamilton edition of Jim Beam Homegrown are on sale now. Fans are encouraged to stay tuned for lineup announcements and event details via

NCIS Season 22 Finale Trailer Confirms if Tim McGee Is Leaving

The trailer for the Season 22 finale has been dropped, and it confirms that Sean Murray's Tim McGee is not leaving the show. Season 22 of the popular show started airing on October 14, 2024, on CBS and then was streaming on Paramount+. Based on the American military police, NCIS originally debuted on TV screens on September 23, 2003. For over two decades, it has been one of the favorites across audiences in the United States. The promo for Episode 20, titled 'Nexus,' of Season 22 of NCIS has finally been released. It reveals the fate of Sean Murray's character, Tim McGee. Check out the promo below: In the 21-second clip, fans get a glimpse at NCIS Special Agent McGee after the incidents of Episode 19, 'Irreconcilable Differences.' This led many to wonder whether the character was dead. As covered by ComingSoon before, in Episode 19 of NCIS Season 22, McGee gets filled with the desire to prove his suspicions about Deputy Director Gabriel Laroche. Although he witnesses Laroche killing a man at point-blank range, he doesn't have any evidence. Due to this, he is accused of trying to bring down his superior to take his job. However, later in the episode, Laroche does get arrested. On the other hand, McGee gets shot in the shoulder. This leads many to think that it might be the last time they see Murray in the role. But luckily, McGee has survived the incident and will be back again. After Laroche tries to assert that a conspiracy is brewing against him, McGee might play a really big part in the coming seasons. Apart from Sean Murray, the show features Wilmer Valderrama, Brian Dietzen, Katrina Law, Gary Cole, Seamus Dever, and many more. In Our View: Too long for Dawson

We are glad the City of Ashland is taking quick action on the repair of Dawson swimming pool. Not many communities have municipal swimming pools. Ashland, Flatwoods and Kenova do have municipal pools. One can look at Google Earth of our area and find home swimming pools dotted throughout the community. Not every family can afford to have a swimming pool in their back yard. We can recall the glory days of Southside swimming pool in Ashland. After its closure in the early 1990s, that left Ashland with just one municipal swimming pool. Dawson Pool is located off Central Avenue near the Ashland Town Center Mall. The pool did not open in 2024. Despite promises from city officials it would open later in the summer, it never did. At the last city commission meeting, Parks and Recreation Director Sean Murray gave an update on progress of pool repairs. Right now is the time to be working on a municipal swimming pool. Murray indicated the majority of the repairs have been concluded. He anticipates an on-time opening Memorial Day weekend. We realize this is right in the middle of winter. Most of our minds are not focused on swimming. Too many area residents don't have access to swimming for recreational purposes. In 2024, Ashlanders wanting to use the pool had to meet at the pool and take a city bus to the Flatwoods municipal pool. Ashland has been working on consolidating expenses. In Washington, they have Department of Government Efficiency, aka DOGE. It is led by non-elected officials. Ashland is taking a different approach with elected officials and newly appointed city manager, Tony Grubb. One of the items that recently caught our eye Is an elimination of a $300,000 IT contract. Grubb, working with city department heads, determined it would be more cost-efficient to have some of the police officers and a firefighter perform this task. Those departments have personnel trained in IT. We realize that that's not necessarily the role of a police or fire department. At any rate, saving $300,000 is an efficiency. This is the kind of thinking local governments need in today's world. Soon to disappear will be Covid funding, and the infrastructure funding from a federal program.

As No Man's Sky adds "billions of new solar systems and trillions of new planets," Hello Games says it's also "extremely busy" with its open-world survival RPG Light No Fire

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. Despite No Man's Sky having just released a gargantuan update in its ninth year, Hello Games still says it's "extremely busy" working on its new multiplayer open-world survival RPG Light No Fire. Hello Games founder Sean Murray revealed the contents of the latest No Man's Sky update in a new blog post. The biggest highlights of the expansive Worlds Part 2 update are new solar systems, greater world variety, new kinds of terrain, updated tech, more quests, improved deep sea exploration, and new Gas Giants that are "ten times bigger" than the biggest planets before them. Meanwhile, Murray said Hello Games remains "extremely busy on Light No Fire," adding, "each time we push our engine to new places though we have this urge to share it with the community, with No Man's Sky." Nothing new was revealed about Light No Fire, but there's a good amount to glean from the game's Steam page if you need a refresher. Like No Man's Sky, it's all built around a seamless open-world with near limitless discoverability, but here the setting is an "ancient Earth" that's apparently the same size as real-life Earth and just as explorable. For example, Hello Games says its oceans are just as deep, its mountains are just as tall, and you can explore every square inch if you've got the time. While No Man's Sky has some shallow RPG elements, Light No Fire is said to have "the depth of a role-playing game" along with "the freedom of a survival sandbox." We don't know the full breadth of those features, but we know Light No Fire includes RPG tentpoles like character creation, a sprawling fantasy story, and custom avatars spanning a range of species including human, rabbit, fox, badger, bear, wolf, and otter. Before today, it had been some time since we'd heard anything about Light No Fire from Hello Games, but hopefully this acknowledgment that it's still very much in active development means we'll hear more soon. Meanwhile, find out where No Man's Sky ranked on our list of the best space games.
