‘The Bachelor's Litia Garr Reacts To Grant's Blindsiding Breakup: 'I Got The Rug Pulled Out From Under Me'

The Bachelor Season 29 finale featured a fair share of heartwarming moments between Grant Ellis and his final two women, but one contestant left the Dominican Republic with a broken heart: Litia Garr. 'Litia, I love you very much and I want to give you everything you deserve. But I'm not your person,' Grant told her on proposal day. 'I'm sorry to have gotten to this point, but my emotional connection is stronger with someone else.' When Grant said he hoped she didn't view him any differently, Litia replied, 'I do, come on now…It's all about you. I think I got my answers. You're different than I thought…I would have a lot of questions if I were [Juliana] from the things that you said to me. But that's for you guys to work out. That's none of my business.' 'The things that you've said to me all along the way make this decision that you've made so much more devastating for me,' Litia told Grant before saying goodbye. 'For me, the switch-up is crazy. I'm disappointed. I just want to be so clear that I'm confused, and I'm sad, and I'm mad.' After Bachelor Nation watched the devastating break-up play out on screen, franchise host Jesse Palmer welcomed Grant's ex to the stage where she unpacked her post-finale emotions and reunited with the Season 29 lead again for the first time since finale week. 'It just reminds me how shocked I was, and how I really felt like I got the rug pulled out from under me,' Litia said when asked how she felt watching the breakup back. 'Grant and I had talked a lot about that day, and everything that he had ever said about it was that it was going to be us. We were getting engaged from the first one-on-one in LA until the night before that day. I remember saying goodbye to him and saying, 'Oh my gosh, we're getting engaged tomorrow.' And he said, 'I know I can't wait. I love you. I love you. I love you.' And those were the last words that he said to me before I walked up there.' When asked about watching the journey back, Litia said that watching the show air has given her a lot of context: 'I think he made the right choice. I agree with his decision.' As for why she felt Grant was different than she thought he was, Litia said, 'On the first group date, I opened up to Grant and told him about my past experiences in dating, and told him how intentional I was being about this journey, specifically, at this point in my life. And he expressed that he was in the same position that he was looking for the same things. And we talked about timeline, the next week on the group day. So that wasn't new information.' She also said that Grant 'continued to give reassurances and promises all along the way every week, and he didn't choose to raise those serious questions until the end…it was not new information.' Litia was so sure that her and Grant were getting engaged at the end of the journey that she said she had no idea that he was conflicted on proposal day. 'Every conversation that I had with Grant, and he said it on that date, it wasn't shown. He said, 'I know it's you. I could stop the whole show right now. It's you. That's how confident I feel.' He said it to my mom on FaceTime and, those words have meaning to me,' she explained. When Grant came out to the hot seat, Litia brought up those promises and reminded him that she asked him not to make them unless he was 100% sure. 'Every week you continued to raise the stakes and you went out of bounds,' she said. 'You told me I was your #1 connection…that from the first group date you told me I was your wife…you never let up up until the last night.' She asked where and maturity and honesty he talked about all season went, and Grant took accountability for his misleading actions. 'I did love you…you taught me a lot as a man. I think it's a very difficult position that I'm in, and I just want to apologize for hurting you, hurting your feelings, and hurting the people that love you,' he said. When asked if he regretted telling Litia that he loved her, Grant said no and assured her that he did love her, but he regretted speaking early in situations when he didn't know how conflicted he would be. 'I think I spoke too soon in a lot of situations and I'll take responsibility for that, ' he explained. 'I'm excited for this to be the last time that I talk to you about this,' Litia said. 'I know I deserve someone waking up without a shadow of a doubt who chooses me and I'm excited to find it.' The reason a BBC film crew is in Birmingham right now

A popular BBC television drama is currently in the Jewellery Quarter and filming their 29th season. Cast and crew were at St Paul's Church shooting what appeared to be a wedding scene. Planned scenes on the day included police vehicles and actors dressed as police with fake firearms. Read More: The 'hidden gem' Birmingham takeaway which has become a TikTok favourite The reason why a film crew is in Birmingham is because they were filming a new season of Silent Witness. The BBC crime drama, which first aired in 1996, is in the city to film its 29th season and it's expected to air early next year. Silent Witness is a show about forensic pathologists and their personal and professional challenges moving from crime scene to lab. The previous season of Silent Witness saw fan favourites Nikki Alexander and Jack Hodgson get married and ended on a cliffhanger. St. Paul's Church is not the only Birmingham location planned as crew confirmed the city will be used as a predominant filming location in Season 29. In 2023, the BBC announced future seasons of Silent Witness would be filmed in the West Midlands as a commitment to produce outside of London. Silent Witness follows Masterchef in making the move to Birmingham and today's day of filming in the Jewellery Quarter is an example of that.

'Really bummed out:' Beverly Ortega explains sudden departure from 'The Bachelor'

'Really bummed out:' Beverly Ortega explains sudden departure from 'The Bachelor' Beverly Ortega's sudden exit from "The Bachelor" has left the audience confused and full of questions. Ortega, who was chosen for a one-on-one date with the Bachelor lead Grant Ellis during Episode 3 of the ongoing Season 29, had to cancel her date on the day of as she was "very sick." While viewers were not offered much information beyond that on the episode, Ortega, a 30-year-old insurance salesperson from Howard Beach, New York, recently appeared on the "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast with Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt to give more insight behind her premature departure from the show and share what exactly went down on the day of the date. Before diving into the details, Ortega said she was 'honestly so happy' about the one-on-one date and that she and Grant felt the same about their strong connection. However, fate had other plans for her. Ortega said after it was revealed she would be going on a one-on-one date with Ellis, she took a nap and woke up from it to her stomach hurting. Was 'The Bachelorette' canceled? ABC pauses production of reality dating show 'Excruciating pain' 'I'm like, okay, maybe I should just go to the bathroom, or the food didn't sit well," Ortega said. "I start throwing up. I'm like maybe I just need to get it out. So, my stomach is continuing to hurt. I'm like in excruciating pain. I'm continuing to throw up. It's a mess. This goes on for 12 hours.' Ortega, who has also been diagnosed with anxiety, said though her panic attacks occasionally cause her to vomit, she knew something wasn't right because she wasn't feeling anxious. "I know my body. I'm listening to my body. Something is not okay. I wasn't sure if it was food poisoning," Ortega said. "My whole stomach was hurting, so it's not like one side. I didn't think it was anything serious. I was like maybe I'm just in really bad stomach pain. At this point, because I had gone so long throwing up, I was like, this is probably why my stomach's hurting even more, because I have nothing in my tummy.' However, as Ortega continued to remain in pain, production eventually decided the best course of action would be to take her to the hospital. After a dose of morphine and three hours in the emergency room, the doctor told Ortega she has appendicitis and needs emergency surgery. 'At that point, I still was not really processing," Ortega said, adding she previously already had her gallbladder removed in 2018. Her father suggested she fly back to New York for the surgery but the risk of her appendix bursting on the plane was too high, so she decided to stay put and get her operation done in California. 'What if' After the surgery, Ortega said she and her family decided it would be best for her to not return to filming and go back home to recover given the physical stress of the show. "Honestly, it took me like a month and a half to recover emotionally,' Ortega said of the experience. 'Physically, obviously, I was okay. But emotionally, I was not." Ortega said she was left with the "what if" because she felt like they "were building a connection." "He saw and felt like exactly what I was seeing and feeling," Ortega said. "I know they didn't show a lot of our moments, but we did have a lot of cute little moments." She added they even kissed but even that didn't make it to the episodes. On top of that, she didn't even get a chance to say goodbye to Grant or explain what happened. 'I was really sad — really, really bummed out…I hope he didn't think that like I left just because,' she said. However, she feels 'everything happens for a reason.' 'I was like, what are the odds that my appendix will act up the day, like days before I get a one-on-one,' Ortega said. 'I was looking forward to the one-on-one because, again, I deal with anxiety and I was obviously going to open up to Grant about that, which is a really huge part of my life. I wanted to see what his reaction was — if it was something that he was able to handle… It was really sad that we didn't get that moment.' 'Bachelor in Paradise' While her Bachelor journey may not have ended the way she had hoped it would, Ortega is not letting the experience weigh her down and says she is '1000%' open to going on "Bachelor in Paradise" for a second chance at finding love within the franchise. 'I feel like if I would have made it further, I probably wouldn't have considered Paradise, but because I didn't make it that far, yes," Ortega said. "Because I do want to get married. I'm 30 years old, I'm ready for kids and family. I've always been like a relationship type of girl. And that was like my intention going on the show." What happened on Episode 3 of Season 29 of 'The Bachelor'? Despite Ortega's untimely exit, the show went on and Ellis had a one-on-one date with Carolina in Las Vegas, while the other one-on-one date turned into a group date with Dina, 31, Litia, 31, and Sarafiena. The quad went to Vanderpump Dogs in L.A., where they helped Lisa Vanderpump take care of some of the rescue's dogs. After the group activity, Ellis chose to spend the evening with Litia. For the group date, meanwhile, Ellis invited comedian Hannah Berner and 'Shark Tank' star Daniel Lubetzky to help teach the women about finance during which the contestants even participated in a "girl math" test. The week ended with Grant surprising the ladies with a prom night which also featured Gary, Jack, Jonathan and Keith from 'The Golden Bachelorette" Who is left on Season 29 of 'The Bachelor'? The 10 women remaining on the show include: Alexe, 27: Pediatric speech therapist, New Brunswick, Canada Carolina, 28: PR relations producer, Guaynabo, Puerto Rico Dina, 31: Attorney, Chicago, Illinois Juliana, 28: Client service associate, Newton, Massachusetts Litia, 31: Venture capitalist, Salt Lake City, Utah Natalie, 25: Ph.D. student Louisville, Kentucky Parisa, 29: Pediatric behavior analyst, Birmingham, Michigan Rose, 27: Registered nurse, Chicago, Illinois Sarafiena, 29: Associate media director, New York, N.Y.
