Woman fights for life after Llandudno crash as driver arrested
A woman is fighting for her life after a crash in Llandudno. The incident happened on Saturday night in Llandudno. Police received a 999-call just after 8.30pm reporting an incident at Cwm Place involving a grey coloured Seat Altea. The female passenger of the vehicle was taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd by ambulance. She was later transferred to a specialist trauma unit in Stoke. Police said she has "serious, life-threatening injuries". Sign up for the North Wales Live newsletter sent twice daily to your inbox The driver – a 23-year-old woman - was arrested on suspicion of drink driving, causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and driving with no insurance. She has since been released on bail pending further enquiries. Acting Sergeant Duncan Logan of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: 'The investigation to establish the cause of the collision is underway and we are appealing for anybody who may have witnessed the incident, or who may have seen the car being driven prior to the collision to contact us as soon as possible. "We are also urging anyone with doorbell camera or dash cam footage to contact us.'
