Dombivli church leads rally against ‘injustice to minorities'
Mumbai: The parishioners of Immaculate Conception Church, Dombivli (E), organised a peaceful rally Sunday to protest against "injustices faced by religious minorities", particularly the recent arrest of two nuns from Chhattisgarh.
They raised slogans and banners saying 'Stand For Justice' and 'Prayer Is our Power'. Parish priest Rev. Vicar Fr Sebastian Mudakkalil said, "The recent increase in attacks on minorities is a cause of great concern. We condemn such atrocities and express solidarity with the victims. While appreciating the efforts taken by the govt, we request authorities to take special efforts to protect the peace-loving Christian community from religious extremists who are abusing and misusing religious laws against Christians."
