Alabama football 2025 season preview, predictions: Kadyn Proctor

There are few offensive linemen across college football better at their respective position entering the 2025 season than Alabama Crimson Tide left tackle Kadyn Proctor. Entering year three in Tuscaloosa, Proctor was a day one starter at Alabama who joined the program as a top recruit in the Crimson Tide's 2023 class. However, Proctor's time in Tuscaloosa has not come entirely without bumps in the road, as the former top recruit in fact struggled at times as a true freshman, and even left the program entirely at one point via the transfer portal. One of the most important players on the Crimson Tide's 2025 roster, here is a look at everything you need to know about Alabama offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor entering the 2025 season. A five-star prospect who committed to Alabama in Dec. 2022 after flipping from Iowa, Proctor was also ranked the No. 2 offensive tackle nationally, as well as the top player in the state of Iowa where he attended Southeast Polk High School. Last offseason, Proctor was considered by 247Sports as the No. 2 overall player in the transfer portal, as well as the top offensive lineman. Rated a five-star prospect, Proctor committed to Alabama again in April 2024 after previously transferring to Iowa in Jan. 2024. Kadyn Proctor 2025 season outlook Projected as a top 2026 NFL draft pick, expect Proctor to be one of college football's best overall players this fall. Proctor will start every game for the Crimson Tide at left tackle this season, which will be his third-straight year in Tuscaloosa as the top name at the position. The junior should also be one of the top left tackles, as well as overall offensive lineman, in college football this season, and has already been named to the preseason watch lists for a few honors such as the Outland Trophy. Overall, expect a stellar 2025 season for Proctor as Alabama's starting left tackle, and for the junior to eventually receive a few honors at seasons end on both a conference and national level. Former Longhorns QB signs with Jacksonville Jaguars

Former Longhorns QB signs with Jacksonville Jaguars Ja'Quinden Jackson gets his NFL shot After going undrafted, Ja'Quinden Jackson has received his shot to make an NFL roster. The former Longhorn and Razorback signed a three-year deal with the Jaguars. He joins Jacksonville following the best season of his college career. During the 2024 campaign, Jackson recorded 790 yards on 149 carries. He added 15 touchdowns to his resume and was a threat through the air with 139 receiving yards. Due to his play, the Dallas native earned Second Team All-SEC honors. As a key piece in the Arkansas offense, Jackson shined. While Jackson's college career included multiple stops, he was a Longhorn first. He arrived in Austin in 2020 as a quarterback but did not appear in a game. He then transitioned into a full-time running back. After leaving Texas, he joined Utah before finishing up his college career with Arkansas. As a quarterback in high school, Jackson made headlines with his arm. He led Duncanville (Dallas-Fort Worth) to back-to-back Texas state title games. That helped make him one of the most intriguing prospects in his class. Now, with the Jaguars, Jackson will look to earn a spot on a roster that includes former Longhorn running back Keilan Robinson, who Jacksonville selected in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Earlier this offseason, wide receiver Devin Duvernay was also a Jaguar before being released. Although Jackson faces an uphill battle for a roster spot, he hopes to be the latest Longhorn to carve out a role with the Jaguars.
