The deputy had minor injuries. Law enforcement found him hiding in a refrigerator on Tuesday. The officers said he refused to come out, so the K-9 was sent to retrieve him. Sedgwick County has several new ‘jailbirds'

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – A pair of geese are proud new parents of several goslings. The goslings were born in a planter just outside the Sedgwick County Jail. A temporary fence has been put up around the geese, as they tend to be aggressive during nesting season. Kansas troopers honored for bravery in deadly I-70 pileup The Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office posted the following message about the newborns: We're honk-ing with joy to announce the arrival of some of the cutest new residents near the Sedgwick County Jail entrance — a fluffy little gaggle of baby geese (yes, they're called goslings, and yes, they're ridiculously cute)! Mama and Papa Goose have been keeping a close watch over their nest out front, and now the little ones have made their debut (don't worry, they've been granted temporary honorary deputy status). Please remember to give them space and let these new 'jailbirds' enjoy their first days in the outside world.' Sedgwick County Sheriff Facebook page For more Kansas news, click here.
