Oreo's Selena Gomez Cookie Collab Features First-Ever 'Signature' Touch
Weeks after rumors began circulating that Oreo teamed up with on a limited-edition flavor collab, the popular sandwich cookie confirmed the talk to be true–and then some.
On Tuesday, the fan-favorite cookie brand partnered with the "Bluest Flame" singer for a limited-edition flavor, just like it did with Post Malone earlier this year.
The new Oreo is said to be inspired by the 32-year-old's "favorite flavors growing up- specifically, the creamy, spiced horchata she's loved since her childhood," according to an official statement shared with Parade.
To recreate the authentic creamy-cinnamon flavor of traditional horchata recipes, the limited-edition Selena Gomez Oreo features "a layer of chocolate & cinnamon flavor creme atop a layer of sweetened condensed milk flavor creme with cinnamon sugar inclusions" that's sandwiched between two chocolate-cinnamon-flavored wafer cookies.

'Making my own OREO cookie was a lot of fun. I grew up loving them, so being able to be a part of the process was a full-circle moment,' Gomez shared in a statement. 'I wanted to find a way for it to feel comforting and have a bit of nostalgia from my childhood. The cinnamon flavor gives it this horchata feel, and I'm excited for my fans to try it.'
If the collaboration stopped there, fans would certainly have their fill. But the duo is making the limited-time offer extra special by "partnering with a purpose" and to put it simply, making Oreo history.
Taking a page out of her BFF Taylor Swift's book, the multihyphenate's upcoming cookie collab will feature six unique "Easter egg" embossments that celebrate her music career, including a 'Selenators' cookie and a "Heart on Fire" cookie that was inspired by her song 'De Una Vez.'
There will also be one unique Oreo featuring Selena's signature in select packs, marking "the first time the OREO brand has ever put an autograph on an OREO cookie!"

Additionally, Oreo is making a pact to donate a portion of the proceeds to support youth mental health initiatives through the Rare Impact Fund, founded by the Only Murders in the Building star in 2020.
Parade is also told the Rare Beauty founder and Oreo are "dropping an exclusive remix together," but fans will have to "stay tuned for the encore."
"Tapping into Selena's world—her cultural roots, her loyal fan base, her musical journey— propels the OREO brand's cultural relevance and playful personality to new heights," said Michelle Deignan, VP of OREO, US added, noting, "This collaboration embodies our commitment to delighting our consumers in unexpected ways and further establishes our footprint in the music industry."
The Oreo x Selena Gomez pre-sale officially kicks off online on June 2, with cookie packs heading to stores nationwide beginning June 9, as well as internationally in Canada, Brazil, Australia and New Zealand later this month. That said, the brand teased a "surprise appearance" in other parts of the world–but only while supplies last.
If June feels too far away, luckily, there's another new limited-edition flavor to hold fans over that only recently started hitting shelves: Oreo Chocolate Covered Pretzel.
