Doctors try to save boy seriously injured by Russia's Iskander attack in Kryvyi Rih

Doctors in Dnipro are trying to save the life of a 4-year-old child who was seriously injured by a Russian missile strike on Kryvyi Rih. Source: Dr Serhii Yehorov, Head of the Intensive Care Unit of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Medical Centre for Family Health in Dnipro, in a comment to journalists, quoted by Ukrinform Quote: "The boy, unfortunately, is seriously injured; he has a very large injury, a penetrating wound of the abdominal cavity with damage to the gallbladder, liver, spleen, intestines and stomach. He underwent another surgery, but his condition is still unstable; it is serious and requires intensive care. It is likely that further surgery will be necessary. He is on a lung ventilator and cannot breathe on his own yet. We are trying to save the child's life." Details: A seven-year-old girl was also brought to the medical facility with the boy. She is showing signs of improvement. The doctors say that her condition is now stabilised, and there is no threat to her life. However, she will undergo long-term treatment and rehabilitation. In addition, on 7 April, two more children were brought to the medical facility. "An eight-year-old child has an open wound to the bones on the forearm and shoulder, and a three-year-old has a penetrating wound to the abdominal cavity," Dr Yehorov said. The children were treated in the children's intensive care unit in Kryvyi Rih, and after their condition was stabilised, they were taken to Dnipro for further treatment.
